Scottie Pippen is great but I have a problem with how good they made him in NBA live '95. They did him some honor because chicago had a good record that year with MJ playing base ball and a lot of that was due to Scottie. But in NBA live95 for sega....he never misses. I of course play all star mode and he never fucking misses a shot. That's the only problem I have with him though. Great real ball player.

@lettuceko Scottie pippen was good, but the better than Lebron commit is to far. Lebron is in the conversation with Jordan, Kobe, Larry Bird, and I don't think you can put scottie pippen in that conversation.

@fuckupayme510 Flat out BULLSHIT. There is no fucking way Lebron is in the same league as Michael and Larry. Not a chance. Larry bird was better than Jordan in my opinion. He played better defense, was a better passer, and was an equally effective scorer. Lebron is a good scorer, he is not a great passer and he plays mediocre defense. Kobe is a better all around player than Lebron. Pippen plays much better defense, has a slightly better outside shot and is equally effective in the paint.

@fuckupayme510 1) Notice I said "in my opinion," if you want to play the stats game I can play that too, though. MJs career average ppg was higher, but Bird had more rebounds, more assists, and about the same number of steals per game. Also had a much better FT % 2) He's a big, athletic player who can drive to the hoop and hit some outside shots. Passing? Never did it in Cleveland, now dishes out a nice one every once in a while in Miami, nothing spectacular. Nothing Larry Bird-esque.

Now back to Lebron, I don't think you can question his basketball IQ. Knowing where you teammates are and will be on the floor, etc. Having basketball smarts. Also, in regards to LB vs MJ. Michael had TALENT. He worked damn hard, but he had phenomenal athletic skills and had a strong body. Larry Bird had a fraction of Michael's talent, he just put in a ton of work and had unbelievable basketball intelligence. A very, very, smart player

He was so disruptive as a defender like no one else since Russell in his days. Pip was a beast and a beautiful player to watch.

I agree that pippen's career is sadly overshadowed by Jordan's. When people think of pippen, they think of him being the second best guy on the Bulls after Jordan, they forget his great career on the Blazers and all the times he saved the Bulls in games that would've cost them dearly while Jordan was injured. But among sports guru's and athletes alike he is given plenty recognition. He is considered one of the 50 best players of the NBA's first 50 years.

He's been lucky to have amazing teammates. How is Pippen overrated? Who rates him highly in the media/public? If anything, he's extremely underrated and under-appreciated. He was 3rd in MVP voting when Jordan played baseball! Pretty quick transition to the lead spot for a great "role player." Shaq in his prime was incredible...

As good as Pippen was, and he's was insanely good, he was still no Jordan! In fact, Jordan was integral to why Pippen was able to become as good as he was, and that applies to many of today's players including Kobe, LeBron, etc. Jordan raised the bar so high, it's incredible!

Pippen is very overrated. Yes he dunked on some people on fast breaks, you never see him just man up take some off the dribble and dunk on them though. All his highlights are a result of team efforts. These underwhelming highlights are proof of his mediocrity. He benefited from the system he played in and having the best player in the history of sports on his team. Lol @ regular 3 point shots being the highlight of his career.

@DownloadDoctor1 In '94 Pippen was one of the few players ever to lead their team in pts, rebs, asts, stls, and blks in the same season. Jordan never did this. Pippen came in 3rd in MVP voting that season and was perhaps the best perimeter defender in the history of the game. It's not a coincidence that he had his best statistical season immediately after Jordan walked away. The Bulls won only 2 fewer games than in '93 and were a bad call away from beating the EC Champion Knicks. Underrated.
