Why are people so critical of this video? I think it's a great video. All that matters is that they can get people to help, and if this is the way, that's great.
What a bunch of liberal garbage! I'm boycotting starbux from now on...bunch of commies just like Obama. Now they've got an ad making fun of town hall ppl!
...love the image at 0:26 of the planned North American Union w/ Canada and Mexico. That's not the kind of 'change' I want. No other American should want it, either!
I think we should all help to make the world a better place. Not because a stupid cup of coffee because pretty soon if we do not help the eco sistum we could all die.
This seems more of a promotional to get people to come to Starbucks then about helping the community. No one is going to actually go five hours just for a cup of coffee, but someone already going for 5 hours or more would get an incentive to go to Starbucks. The concept sounds good.
Right, people shouldn't have to be persuaded with a tall cup of coffee to volunteer. What's the reality though? If people are more likely to do their share to make the world a better place if Starbucks gives a free handout, I say go for it. I don't see why people are so critical of this. Give people some incentive, get the ball rolling, and hopefully you can develop some good habits. I'm all for anything that brings people to voluntary community service. Try to be positive people.
Obamas youth brigade...history does repeat itself. Hitler burned his own building and blamed it on terrorists, bush's puppeteers knocked down the towers on 9/11. All used to take more and more freedoms. Get informed. infowars. com
Let me clarify myself. People should volunteer and partake in community service but NOT join Obama's youth brigade or any corp he sets up! Philanthropy is important; not the Obama way, the real way!
Don't hate....congratulate! Get up and do something for your community! If you want fair trade beans, set up a grassroots movement for fair trade. The world could use more consciousness police! Take Action!
I believe that if you volunteer you receive your reward from the feeling of doing something for someone else. It is sending the wrong message to our children and to the community it wishes to support. The feeling derived from helping someone else is reward enough.
Sure. thats what its about. perhaps it is sending a wrong message but fact is, people are reacting more because of this wrong message, doing something, then not doing anything is always better. if thats what it takes to get people more active and an asset in communities, then so be it. perhaps later in life these people falling for this "wrong message" will grow. and by disagreeing for a thing trying to do good in a world thats in short demand of it, to me. is the wrong message. whats your idea?
I think it's totally awesome that Starbucks is doing something. A tall Latte might be one of the less expensive things on their menue, but actually no one should do good and ask for somthing in return. And by the way, sure Starbucks could sell their coffee cheaper, but then they would have to pay their employees and the coffee farmers (e.g. in South America, Africa)less. They are trying to make a difference, ever heard of Fair Trade???
only after lots of pressure did they start using fair trade beans just a few years ago, and before that the drinks were equally expensive. When i think of reasons it's expensive, i think "3 starbucks in one manhattan block."
I have done my research, you are a beautiful soul.I think though you may want to take your own advice on this one. When he prosecutes Bush , releases the prosperity funds and removes the criminal Clintons from the world stage then we can talk.Oh yes did i mention Isreal?and the spraying of acid on children? His one pres at a time position on that war crime?
he's right, obama's national service plan is a slick update on the hitler youth. wake up america, we have to save ourselves. obama is a savior...for wall street.

Geez, it takes a free cup of coffee for people to volunteer and partake in community service? Pathetic! People should do it anyway!
