outdated. Mahalis's portal gun is almost exactly the same as the one in portal, using only lua. (with the one bug that sometimes you get stuck under the map if you walk into the portal at the wrong angle.)

The funny part is that with the recent GMod update and recent discoveries, the Portal gun is extremely close to being the real one.

All with Lua.

Exite bases itself around being a portal mod - So.. y'know. Buy portal. Or get pacsteam.

Whereas gmod isn't just a portal mod - I mean yeah, the portal gun for gmod sucks, but so does the one for exite. Besides, you can do shedloads more stuff with gmod.

The bad FPS is probably due to setting the video res too high, or using a frame-limited trial version, or both. You need a fast hard drive to record in high res. I've recorded smoother video on a computer half as fast as yours, with FRAPS, but also with a fast hard drive.

Gmod is not designed for Portal xD niether does ExitE gmod has these tiney errors because the code is based of LUA and the ExitE mod doesnt, thats all Half-life shit *correct me if i'm wrong* and Exite Crashes more often, SOO!! my choise goes to The Original Portal game, because this wont fill up the need for the real game ^^ in the main time, il need to save up for THe orange box ^^ but first!! a new notebook

Well i say that both are as good as each other, and gmod 10's new 97 portal gun is a tiny bit better, since you don't have that annoying SUPER white effect so you can barely see through, and in the gmod one the only downside is the go into the wall while half way through and falling forever by floor portal accident, plus its ALOT less laggier. =D

I almost forgot, ignore the following things:

-Bad FPS (blame fraps)

-Annoying music

-Lack of editing quality

-The scroll button on the center of the screen on gmod, it happend sometimes

You can change the FPS on fraps. I use the exact same prgram for my vid you commented on. Just open it up from the bottom right tool bar icon.
