Well one of the stupid things about this game is that you like kill 3000 police officers but you cant kill civilians ? i mean wtf police is rushing in the bank like its word war not a heist. You cant take civilians as your own shield for example or do something usefull with them. all they do is lieng on the ground tied up... it would be a much better game if there would be less fighting but more use off surrounding like clousing up curtains, blocking the elevators, taking hostages etc.

@pejjeisgood restart steam, and you can try to right click the game, then properies, local file and then press the verify integity of game cache.

@pejjeisgood I had the same problem. I fixed it by going to the Steam folder > steamapps > common > payday the heist. Right click on the game, go to properties, then change the compatibility to Windows XP Service Pack 3 and select Run as Administrator. there you go

It's true. The game is not realistic.

The police wouldn't rush the bank if hostages were involved. They would try to negotiate, not run around outside the windows and attack right away. So he's right.
