For the first half of the race, I was having fun with Cortex and Von Clutch, toying with them. Then for the second half, I felt like showing my true skill by pulling away from everyone. The incident with the shortcut on lap 5 was an accident. >_>

You're not the only one who's experienced this same multiplayer problem. On a site called GameFAQs, there was someone that reported the same problem. It's either 1 of these 3 things: your second controller is messed up, your PS2 has a severe problem reading the 2nd controller, or it's the disc/game.
If you know for sure its none of these things, then don't yell at me like you just did. Can't stand that crap.
