The day I put mi C64 in my fathe's High Fidelity Amplifier, changed my live. I still remember this emotion listning Matt Gray's Last ninja 2 themes and getting amazed.
Someone with extreme talent please for the love of god recreate these Last Ninja games and keep the music ..... PLEASE! Even in 2011 we are still sitting here getting goosebumps.
I could forgive the clunky controls for the awesome soundrack and sweet level design. Watched my dad complete the first one when I was four-five-six. He could never get onto the helicopter at the end of the office. When I was about five I got as far as the basement jumping the boxes, but damn I loved it!
c64 was a good machine. it was a very very good machine. it was a very very very good machine. it was a very very very very good machine. i loved it, i loved everything about it, the smell from it, the look from it, the sound from it, the keyboard, the color, the games, the charisma, the time period of the classics. nothing beats it. it may be nostalgy, i think it is not about nostalgi, i really do believe this computer was the shit at the time.
You Sir are absolutely right. It not only was a computer, its powers simply bordered the mystical realm. It really was THAT good, it was always pushing to envelope....
As such it was a great catalyst for my intellectual development. In fact, without it I doubt if I ever got so far as to obtain a PhD degree in physics!

I'd love to hear this song played in a techno club, especially the part starting at 1:33.

this is so BAD, I`m going to make a bold statement and say that the c64 version of this was the most influental videogame soundtrack ever made.

One of the best OSTs in a game ive heard. And this track is wonderfull...the way its going growing from a dark beginning to a gloriously end.

Thanks for the replies! I was only grooving to the soundtrack in bed late last night.
And dreaming of how id love to do a live tribute performance with 2 others using a midibox sid, and all the exact original sounds of the soundtrack.
One of us playing electronic drums, one playing melodies on keyboard, & the other playing basslines/sub melodies.
When i get the midibox sid built, ill put up some videos of what i mean! (if i can manage to play them on keyboard that is!)

I love the way this track changes half way through. Thats the great thing about this soundtrack.
Its not repetive all the way through like most electronic stuff today, theres a lot more variaton and more emotions in each track.
Especially the central park track, its progressions make it comparative to classical music.
