I did my Green Screen using a Dulux paint called "Green Parrot 1", only problem is I can't paint the carpet, so any shots where the camera needs to be looking down or with my whole body in the shot I can't do.

So I might buy a sheet to put on the floor, do you think you can find a sheet that's as close a colour as Green Parrot 1? Just go to the tailor made colours section at some home stores, and find the colour sheet and try comparing it with a screen.

I edit tons of videos using pinnacle studio and find the output quality to be perfect, same as what went in without loss, and the filesize, the same as the original footage.

For keying however, I use Fx home software, it really is superior for any fx/keying work.

Note on this video: I wish the author of this video would not have used the stock "underwater" music over the whole video, it is crappy and annoying, and takes away from the subject.

Any color works, but most everything has white. make sure your dark skinned and have dark clothes or something, because the reason they use green is because, most people dont wear neon green or neon blue shirts or anything.

Pinnacle Ultimate Version 12 offers a green screen in the package along with the software AND extra plugins that you would generally pay extra for. I paid 139.00 for mine and haven't learn to use the green screen yet. But since you were only asking about price, I'm just answering that part.

go to video effects and then chroma key, then drog it on the video and then with the lil ink selecter thing click on it on the greenscreen/bluescreen and move slidesup n down till perfection (you may need to add more then one key) g.l

The toilet thing was cool. I have Studio 10 Plus. I also bought some bright green fabric-two strips of each 3 yards for 16 dollars, plus tax. Pretty good for a green screen. And it works really well for me. Takes a little practice.

Fist of all Pinnacle is not a good choice to use for chroma (greenscreen) use a better program eg: Sony Vegas, Final cut Pro, Adobe Premier.

Second of all, the film industry leans toward blue not green. film takes the blue values more easily rather than tape which likes green values better.

People need to learn the fundamentals of how keying works, any colour will work as long as it's far removed from the object/person that you want to keep in shot. If you are going to film something that is blue, it would be best to use a red screen, Blue and Green are the furthest from skin tone, that's why it's widely used.

2cents:be realistic, Some software is more advanced for more advanced Wacky ideas. If you are a filmaker ,make your investment on your carreer., some programs do it fair but expensive programs give you industry standard equipment experience...I am sure if you get an internship job in a film studio you won't be duin keying if all you know is the kiddie programs
