I wish Senator Kirk would remind his party tto follow in the example of Chuck Percy. The GOP today would never admit Chuck Percy in its ranks.

Senator Rockefeller's words are spoken with eloquence for a person that was respected by both sides of the aisle. His generation made our country the envy of the world because he and others like him worked to find solutions to our country's problems. We can learn from people like him. If we do not our country will continue out of control from its self destructive forces of division. I respected this statesman as a young Senate doorman even though he served on the "other" side of the aisle.
