@vovosv You can use the square [ ] bracket keys to make you brushes bigger or smaller. Also in CS4 on a Mac (that's just my platform, probably works for other too) hold the option+command key while left clicking and dragging mouse left or right. Control+option+command and the drag, adjusts brush hardness.
