  • Yep I love my Brush Guards too! Only downside is that when you're travelling with them on your brushes you have to be cautious NOT to get those guards pushing up against stuff in your bag and bending the bristles backwards - now that's NOT pretty!!!

  • I love your videos sooo much! There is a video I would like to request though. Can you do something on what the different name are and how to use them. And the different make up appicators like sponges, eyelash curlers and anything else you think a newbie need to know. A make up artist 101 video basicly. thanks.

  • Your mkup is great in this vid except for your ears. Don't forget men out there! They are always red so don't forget about them. Keep up the great vids!

  • ur so HOOOOT .why are u doin makeup? kiss from bulgaria

  • your a cutie and to be honest i wasn't paying attention to what you were saying.... :D

  • what size would be good for the 239 & 217? Is the x-small to small?

  • Learn an enormous amount from your videos.

  • Great chooses wayne!...and you look amazing as always:)

  • And by the way, would there be any problem with purple brushes?like the bristles actually purple?

  • Thank you!I'm just about to get my first brush set and i want them to last long!I also live in the uk so I was wondering where I could get them!thank you!

  • You look so much cuter with you beard.... Please don't shave it!

  • james bond of makeup

  • it didnt work for me , im so disappointed! i washed my brushes, took out water excess and put the brush guard, i left it for more than 12 hours and they were still wet! ??? so disappointing.

  • how fab - so glad I found this. now on order :-))

    ang x

  • Thanks for great presentations... no, I don't think you get money for the things you present! I agree with the commentor that said you should be on TV -- you have that certain "star" quality -- likeable and well-spoken. Again, thanks for the wisdom you bring!

  • anyone know where i can get brush guard in uk?

  • I love how prolific you are in making videos! Whenever I see you've posted one I make a bowl of cereal and sit back down to enjoy the show :)

  • Sigma just came out with a brush guard type thing where it dries super fast and retains the shape!!

  • I am starting to have this problem now... ESPECIALLY with that 217 brush!!! THANKS SOOOOO MUCH for this video! I HAVE to make this purchase!

  • I've been using these for over a year now! glad that Wayne is also using them too!

  • they look a bit like then finger traps you can get from random joke shops for about 20p!

  • I love the brush guard idea. where did you get your brush that you have the brush guard on. i love it its soo cute and unieqe. if you could tell me where you got your brush i would be mush appreciateive thank you. take care

  • I agree! Great product! I bought 2 of the mixed sizes and I use them all of the time.

  • Will try them;)

  • great found them on ebay uk, looking forward to my brushes receiving their liposuction...thank you. be well

  • brought some right away x

  • I actually buy those little Chinese finger traps and they work the same way , but I wouldn't say they are as good. However for someone who isn't an actual makeup artist they're definately a bargain !

  • Can i ask what the brush is around 2.15? I admit i buy brushes because they look pretty and that one is gorgeous

  • oh my god. I didn't even know that they had that affect on the brushes. I thought it was just so that when you took your brushes in your make up bag if you don't have a roll that the bristles don't get damaged. Didn't think it was that great for that. But oh my lord, washing my brushes and putting these on - just like you said, they are brought back to brand new condition. My 224 got an instant liposuction.... that's what it is, liposuction for brushes!

  • I totally am not a creep but i have to agree he is really handsome and even more important, he is so helpful and has the best tips about makeup

  • i just bought these because of this video and i cant wait to user them ;o)

  • bought these. love them. thanks so much.

  • Thanks to you, I jumped on the net and ordered mine, took about 2 weeks to come from USA to Australia and I love them, thanks for the tip. xoxo

  • I agree about the Brush Guard. It is so simple and brilliant. Everything in your make up collection will come and go but some things are fixtures. Brushes are one and the Brush Guard is an essential companion to them.

  • Very good look in this video. You look sharp.

  • At first glance, you looked like Daniel Craig from the 007 Bond Series.

  • I love Brush Guards.

  • **TFS**

  • you are probably the hottest makeup guru here on youtube.. no wonder there are ALWAYS inappropriate comments here telling you how yummy you look ;)

  • Thanks for the video. It reminded me I had to put a new order in, would have forgotten otherwise!

It's amazing how it's always the good things we forget to tell others about. Must be because we're so used to them being there, we just assume everyone else already knows about them!

  • Maybe its the lighting, but, you look a little to orange to me. The way your arms are colored doesn't match your face at all.

  • the brush guard looks quite like a Chinese finger trap to me haha ;-)

  • I absolutely agree! =)

  • I have been using them for some time now, they are fabulous, they are great used after you have washed you're brushes, pop brushguard on , stand brush in a glass to dry, the brushguard protects while letting brush dry properly x

  • Hi Wayne, do you think if I get some plastic or like ziplock bags cut them and wrap them around my brush tightly and tape them it would be same as the brush guards? since I live in the U.S. and I not able to get them?

  • @niaZomba Enkore was selling some I think.

  • @SakurasamaLover That's great I love encore!, I just notice in waynes comment section he has a link to the U.S store so that I can get them, YEA..thanks!

  • @niaZomba No. Don't do that. Your brushes will get moldy. They need air in order to dry properly.

  • @niaZomba They come the from the US!

  • Quite lovely Wayne, I absolutely agree with you , we do spend on a lot on brushes even more than we spend on the makeup , so why not protect our investments, thats what I call my MAC brushes (an investment). Cheers lad.

  • its also a great product when drying the brushes becuase you can have the handle facing up while it dries so that the water doesnt go down into the glue and ruin the brush

  • You can also get them online at coastalscents. Cool Wayne!!!

  • you should check out the video on diy brush guards! they are reallly easy to make! (:

  • nice

  • Thanks! I did not know about these! ~Theresa ;)

  • great video! i love that it is affordable and does what it is supposed to

  • best little things ever, Always use them.

  • Yes it does XD

  • i just bought myself some love ur vids.

  • hey wayne im only 32 sec in2 this video... and i really hope its as good as i hope its goin 2 b.. if that makes sense lol

  • @leighmc04 no, it doesn't! lol

  • Best invention since sliced bread! I like them too. Use them always.

  • Hi Wayne!! I own some but need to buy more of these, love your video and thanks for sharing.

  • Hey Wayne,

Will def be getting the brush guard. I was wondering how you clean your brushes? Usually I use this soap bar for oil paint I got from an art store, but I'm worried it will damage the brushes( I use the soap bar for cleaning my paintbrushes too, and it works pretty well). I don't want to have to go out and buy the proper brush cleaners cause I heard they're quite expensive and arent really necessary. Love your vids xsarah

  • Wayne you are so right!! But when you clean your brushes, what do you use for deep cleaning them? because i figure that you brush with the white bristles is sooooo clean! i have brushes with white bristles from sigma (because i can't and won't afford the mac ones) and they are stained from the colour even after deep cleaning them. can you give me some advices?

  • @ wicketyboo have you tried dove bar soap on white hair brushes?.. it works for my brushes .. and with eve tougher colors that is hard to get out i use olive oil to break up the product .. hope this helps!

  • Hi Wayne... I just have a quick question. How do you get your white bristles so clean?! I wash my brushes regularly (and with shampoo) and wash and rinse a few times, but they never go white again!! Any tips?

    Thanks!

  • I absolutely agree that Brush Guards are amazing! I found out about them last year and I use them every single time I wash my brushes. :)

  • Placed my order and Brush Guard contacted me on where I found/heard of them....I directed them to your youtube channel ;) All the best.

  • Im sure I've seen the sort of netting that are brush guards in B and Q, I might have to go and have a look. Will get back to you

  • Cheers iam ordering mine right now.:)

  • Hey Wayne, thanks for you videos~ learn loads with each one. I was wondering if you could possibly do a video about how you shape and/color your facial hair?! As it always looks amazing! I have had a full beard for about 2 years and just shaved, but desperately need something back on my face! I just don't know what looks good with different facial shapes etc. Thanks for your time!!!

  • Is it inappropriate to say that I think you look extremely handsome in this video...

  • @babbeltje5678 couldn't agree more^^

  • @babbeltje5678 haha well said!

  • @babbeltje5678 agree~

  • @babbeltje5678 thats because he is fineeeeeeeeeee!!! :P

  • I'm so glad you made this video. I love the brush guard. So much better than the paper towel/toilet paper (which can just stick to your brush and be a dampy mess). I use mine every day and yeah with the 217 it's awesome and the 187 I use as my foundation everyday and w/o the brush guard it's be a huge mess!

  • Expandable cable sleeves...

  • You can wrap your brushes in paper towels if you are super cheap.

  • I'm in love.

  • Great idea. Thanks :D

  • I have noticed my brushes get frayed ,I've heard about these guards but never really thought they could fix an already frayed brush, thnx for the tip !! xo Jessie

  • You always give great & useful info!!!

    Thanks so much!

  • chinese finger trap...?

  • @allenleliza My thought exactly! LOL.

  • I must get 'em!

    Cheaper the replacing brushes!

    TY

    xo

  • can i find this brushes in italy?

  • I think you may have just saved my kit! I was starting to get really irritated with my brushes splaying. You spend so much money on your kit and the brushes get ruined after cleaning. I am going to get some straight away.

    Thanks!

  • I love the Brush Guard, too!

  • and i forgot to add its mesh also

  • If you head into hawkins bazaar theres a few shops all over the uk or go on their website you can buy a finger trapper and it is exactly the same as a brush guard but for like 50p and it comes in different colours.

  • thanks goss :)

  • Someone went a little overboard with the orange tan :P can happend to all of us though!

  • Thanks hon, so helpful to know, I was inclined to think they were just a gimmicky thing, obviously if you recommend them I "need" them. BTW you look gorgeous. x

  • 1. You look so handsome in this video :)

    2. Thank you for the tip, I wanted something like this but didn't know where to get it

    3. I also like that spray you have to disinfect your make up. Could you tell me what it was called?

  • I thought u were saying "brush god" the entire time.

  • Great review and the fact that you picked this particular product as "product of the year" tells a lot about what kind of person you are. Nothing super-expensive, nothing fancy, nothing high-end in terms of brand, etc, but something that works: a little intelligent idea that does wonders to keep your super-useful brushes in shape and makes them last much longer. Brilliant Wayne.

  • I totally agree! i love my brush guards – my fluffy brushes would suck butt without them. it does frickin wonders for the 168! i find that they do increase drying time but if you let the brushes sort of almost completely dry and then pop the guards on them and leave them overnight and keep them on the brushes while you arent using them they keep the brushes in the best shape ever :)

  • Thx! i want some of theses for my brushes that have started to do the same thing

  • Loving your videos and honesty!!! Btw you are very handsome ;) i have to subscribe!!!

  • Wayne are you married??? You are sooo awesome!!!

  • So many people have videos on how to make your own brush gaurd. Do you think it would matter if we made our own or is there something really "special" in these brush guards that dominates the dyi kinds?

  • you are super cute!

  • I like you:P

  • can you do a video "how to clean brushes"

  • Brush Guards are one of the simplest things and yet one of the most important things I use. I like that the company has options to choose from, eye brush guards, face brush guards, and a variety pack. Love them!

  • That would be nice for my mac 182 which I just washed today lol

  • yes they are great i need to get some more i only have a few...good choice

  • Lol I've always felt weird using rubber bands to keep brush bristles tighter. Brush guard, here I come!

  • I agree with you. It's a very good product. ^^

  • I NEED to get me some of those, for serious.

  • Thanks Wayne-great product review xoxo jan

  • I love these too!

  • Wow Wayne! You're looking especially hot today. What's different? Ooops. The wedding ring shows really well in this video too, lol.

  • @mesquitemagic haha he is a cutey isnt he! I noticed that when he first started vids how handsome he was and wondered if he was married or if he was batting for the other team!

  • cool, thanks!

  • You are the most helpful person, Wayne. Thank you!

  • I love my brush guards and the owner is really nice. I use them every time I clean my e/s blending brushes and face brushes.

  • I couldn't agree with you more :) I love my brush guards, I see such a big difference in the shape of my brushes and it's definitely changed the way I pack my make up when traveling!

  • i love my brush guards. it has changed the way i travel and dry my brushes!

  • Wow - thank you for the great information (as usual). I will check them out!!

  • Hi, I have the white brush in your video as well, had the same prob as you. But what I did was after I squeezed the excess water out with some kitchen paper. I used some dry kitchen paper strip wrap round the brush, and lay the brush flat on the two end of strip joined. Let it dry. It did the same job. Money saving tips. ;-)

  • I almost forgot to say..You look fabulous..:D

  • It's one of the reasons why i keep the hard plastic cover for my brushes..If they come with one..the bit more expensive ones do..when u buy them single..which i do..I never buy kits..

  • i totally agree! i love how it brings my brushes back to its original shape! so simple yet so helpful! i love them!!!!

  • You read my mind I was thinking about brushes today, & how I loathe the shedding and such

  • Good idea! Would the clear hard plastic ones work as well or do they need to be netting?

  • thanks for the website link! Great site will def use that xx

  • It looks like a mini version of those plastic net things put around fruit to keep them from squashing ;D

  • Yeah, count me in—I just love these. For fluffy brushes (MAC 109) they really keep the shape nice and tight and will extend the life of your brushes multifold...!

  • Do you want to marry me?

  • Cool

  • I agree brush gaurds are a great product.

But here's a little tip. Last time my DH brought me home flowers the mims had thes netting things on them to keep the mums all tight untill you released the bouquet. I thought hmm those little net things look like brush gaurds. I washed them out and used them on the brushes and they work exactlly the same.

YAY flowers and bonus brush gaurds LOL. Don't know if they do this in the UK but they do in the US.

Thanks for all your great vids!

  • @Ultimatecruegirl haha what a great idea! I am going to check this out (will start to drop hints for flowers) x thanks!

  • I use mine all the time. The price is great too.

  • i totally agree! i bought the brush guards quite a while ago and I absolutely love them. you forgot to mention that with the brush guards you can actually dry your brushes upsidedown in a glass or wherever (so no water will stuck in the wooden part where the bristels are) amazing product!

  • @dropdeadchoop I don't understand how that would make a difference. I hate to have to ly them flat for drying. But wouldn't the water run down anyway even with a brush guard? Would be great if you could explain :D ... !

  • @RubenvonZwack You can stand them upside down with the guard.

  • @RubenvonZwack I'm sorry maybe I didn't explain myself well (I'm not a native English speaker) I just meant that the great thing with the brush guards is that after you washed your brushes, you put the brush guard on them and then you put them upsidedown - meaning with the bristels downwards - in a glass, so the water runs down and no water stays stuck in the part where the bristels are tightened. If you ly them flat for drying it doesn't have the same effect..

  • @RubenvonZwack and check the website of the brush guard, i think there is a video of it where they dry them upsidedown

  • @pellucidae whoa really? Have you tried that yet on your brushes?

  • thanks for this video :), I've been trying to find a uk stockist for the brush guard for ages! x

  • AGREED. :-)

  • I love your videos. I feel like I can really trust what you are saying and that you aren't just trying to make us buy stuff.

  • i love the brushguards and you. you are awesome horray for the guard!!!!

  • ooh i think i need some of these , would really help my brushes

  • you look like damon albarn (L) hahah :D

  • you make my day... youre just gorgeous *muah

  • I just made my order online, and I will tell you the results.

    Your videos are always practical.

  • I just made my order online, and I will tell you the results.

    Your videos are always practical

  • What would be your recommendation for a good brush to apply shadow (not too thick or heavy) under the lower lashline? I'm having trouble...it either comes out too thick and I look like something out of rocky horror or I end up flicking powder into my eye ouch!!

  • I'm now convinced I NEED to buy some briush guards. If Wayne loves them, I will too! How do you keep them sanitized?

  • I know this is not a foundation tutorial, but I have the hardest time finding the correct foundation shade. I'm of Indian descent, NC42ish and almost all the foundations I try make me look grey or in the case of MAC, orange. What can I do to remedy this, add and orangey corrector directly to my foundation? THanks! And you're super sexy as usual.

  • My friend recently showed me this brilliant product and just bought a few small sizes and blush brush sizes. I'm excited to get them in the mail soon! I also heard they help your brushes dry an hour or two quicker than usual, I'll have to see about that. Great video!

  • Hi Wayne, if it wasn't for your wink i wouldn't watch, JUST KIDDING, love your videos and this is a fantastic product. I will have to get some of these. :D

  • That's neat. I should really give those a try, I've only had my brushes a few months and have already seen a bit of splaying. Thanks. :)

  • I love the brush guard! It's a great product and very inexpensive.

  • how is the writing on your mac brush still on!? on my brushes from mac its off in about a month and it really annoys me!!haha!maybe its the brush guard?

  • @aisling3 put clear nail varnish over the writing in future x

  • @aisling3 Brush some clear nail polish on the numbers and voila it stays :)

  • @aisling3 i like to use ppa, perfect paper adhesive by US Art Quest, Enkore did a fab video about it!

  • I had just noticed my 217 was splaying and getting eyeshadow everywhere but the crease recently, what a coincidence! Think I'll have to save my other brushes with guards now before they're messed up too!

  • crushcosmeticscomau just got some in if you're from aus! :D i just ordered them

  • Mmmmmm!! Yummy!! Now I have got that out of the way, thank you wayne for the video!!!

  • loveloveloveeeeee

  • fuck ur soooo HOT *drools*

    i love ur videos :)

Imma have to try the brush guards out

  • umf... sexy man.

  • You're so right Wayne! I already own some of them and they're awesome indeed ;)

  • what do you do that your skin looks so beautiful???

  • Oh Wayyyyyyyyne, youre amazing. My favorite man in the world.
