did people used to talk different back then or is it just this? Also i read a little from the "first" part of the scrolls and it basically sounded like gibberish. sounds more like irreverent poetry or a story more than something that really happened.... then again I havnt read much so correct me if im wrong
There is a good amount of wrongs and rights ,but Why don't we just listen to what it had to say to see about it. It did have some good thoughts to think about above all other rights and wrongs ! Thank You !
This is Greek. I can read the word "?????LOGOU" in the third line. The word "KAI" ("XAI", and) in various places. The phrase "THN TYROS KAY" and "TON AGIA" and more.
In the cave 7 they found fragments of the Greek New Testament too.
That does not look like any authentic DSS fragment and the script was certainly not 'Hebrew square' script. It is Greek! And; Hebrew square script should always be called Aramaic square because it is essentially Aramaic text.
1QH is a very long hymm. I believe Sudenik who translated the hymm had difficulty knowing where each verse began and ended. Still, it is beautifully narrated here. It captures something of the authors' theme of salvation and knowledge.
The majority of languages used was a shared combination of Hebrew and Aramaic. Greek was actually the minority language used out of all the Dead Sea Scrolls text.
Why was the Dead Sea Scroll written in Greek?

it is not "TON AGIA", my bad.
But there is "kai damascou kata----" in the fourth line
"fronesen" in the 9th line, etc.

Got bad news for both of you. Especially the letter that looks like a 'Q' or 'P' its NOT Greek. It's Aramaic.

The Dead Sea scroll shown in the video is authentic but I do believe you are correct on the fact that it is mostly written in Greek.

What is the code reference? I can certainly see it is not 4QMMT, so I would like to read more.
