Not the biggest Pacino fan, but this movie seems very interesting. I don't think they got the gay scene totally on par, since discos seemed to attract the gays more than other nightclubs...but there had to have been gay rock clubs out there. The fact that this movie was made is interesting--people were pretty close minded about homosexuality, and AIDS was right around the corner. I really wanna check this out...there's some vintage punk music on there too. I really wanna rent this.

It's showing the lengths(no pun intended) he's having to go to, to catch the suspect. Those being completely submerging himself in that scene to find this guy.

Interesting, the trailer makes it look like it might be a good film, in reality its pretty dreadful. There are a number of scenes in the trailer that I don't recognise from the versions I've seen on UK television.

I know that Friedkin has always stated that his version has never been seen. I'd like to see a Director's Cut. It would probably be a better film and make more sense. It might explain why the killer that was caught at the end looks nothing like the killer at the start of the film.
