  • that doesnt look good 4 ur back

  • Zercher squats are a great squat alternative for people who don't have any shoulders.

  • @floatingburrito

    Or a rack. :)

  • lol you fucked up your back, your arms, ellbows if you do it like that

  • OMG WE USE THE SAME SQUAT RACK!!?1/1!1

  • fucking sweet squat rack

  • Awesome strength. I do mine with 2" pipe and bumps. You've

got a high pain threshold and balls my friend !

  • Nice work!!!

  • What is the advantage of squatting like this versus other types of squats??

  • @freespeechisataste this targets the core much more then a regular squat would. i like to do zerchers starting in a 90 degree squat position....helps with explosion

  • i dont think these type of exercises are nesscary it seems like good training for a strongman competition so you can somewhat simulate the obstacles used in those competitions

  • Can you squat all the way down, ass to grass(starting strength), with zercher squats? Does the bar get in the way??

  • For some reason, "atheletes" think zercher squats is synonimous with --bad form and rounded back with vulnerable lumbar- squats.

  • Strong. Have you found much carryover to your squat and deadlift?

  • hurt much lol

  • he seems to have fun

  • Bloody good work mate, Zercher's are great.

  • Nothing actually. I'm using a couple different brands of weights and accidentally quoted you. My bad.

I'm using standard sized 45s as well as Gold's Gym 45s in this lift; which are thicker and at a smaller circumference. Wal Mart as well as other vendors sell these. Sorry for the confusion.

Sorry for any miscommunication, I was responding to poidsfi. Sorry, mate.

  • Oh shit. Thats cool, props then. It is a huge lift.

  • zercher squat sucks,

wonder what kind of stupidee came up with this lame exercise,

real man do real squat, butt to the ground

  • @poidsfi yeah good fucking joke. theyre the same thing form wise, this just makes sure you arent leaning forward.

  • @poidsfi butt to the ground? real men dont want tendinitis fag lol your a litle boy

  • Well, to give you a hint, his name was Ed Zercher (you know, the guy whose name is attached to the technique) , and I can pretty much promise that he was way fucking stronger than you, at an older age, than you will ever be. So you should shut the fuck the fuck up as hard as you can, forever.

  • fuck that looks hard

  • Hey when doing zerchers, often my elbows touch my thighs really early way before parallel, is it a problem, does it really matter, and should I avoid it? Maybe it causes a problem for going bellow parallel, I dunno xD

  • I know what you're talking about. What this guy does is that he uses a quite wide stance so as to allow him to go as far down for the ROM to be limited by the touch of the bar to his legs instead, which is at about parallell. You could try it and see if you like it. It doesn't allow you to handle as much weight, but it does allow for more movement. Perhaps doing both is the best.

  • was soll der Blödsinn

  • nice done:)

  • ma nan could do one of them

  • Doesn't that hurt your elbows. I would like to try these squats as I heard they're better for tall people. Is there anything to use to minimize pain in that area?

  • Doesn't hurt the elbows at all, actually. Hurts the skin on the forearms though, and leaves very distinctive bruising until the body adapts. As far as minimizing the pain, use a thicker bar if one is available, or wrap a towel if you must.

  • Feet to wide apart? I see the bar touches your knees on the way down. It kind of sucks `cause it makes it harder imho. Unless that was your intention?

  • What kind of squat rack is that?

  • Cheapy bench uprights from K-Mart. I think I paid 35 bucks for the both the bench and the rack. 70% off sale FTW.

  • wow! looks nicer than that. Thanks, I'll have to check that out.

  • wow you fucking kidding me? I need to look into something like that, baddly.

  • @tehfinnagen nice... k mart by me doesnt sell any good shit for fitness just dumbells up to 20 and gloves...
