The HTC desire is the worst phone i've ever had. Took it back after 2 days of using it. If anyone wants to consider a touch screen phone, I recommend only getting the iPhone.

Trouble is its a bit of an boring looking phone. Easily the most boring of the range. Even the new Wildfire, which looks much the same, is nicer with its metal strip around the back. Its "looks" looks like an afterthought.

Ok, I was skeptical about this being better than the iPhone because, lets admit it, we all like to go against the curve with something different. Looking at these videos though I can honestly say that the HTC Desire looks soooo soooo good. Just things like background map and it quietening down when you move the phone closer to your ear. Quiet ring on pickup. It makes sense to reduce the ringer volume when you've picked up the phone but not answered, but does it mean that if it's in a pocket and you move as it starts to ring it will ring on a quieter setting than you might need to hear it in a loud environment?

I'm pretty much sold on the Desire... I might get Nexus One or wait for more info on Nexus Two. So this isn't a snotty question. I'm just genuinely curious about the practical use of that setting.

@MrBluejay4 all you have to do is mount your phone to your computer in disc drive mode (phone should automatically ask what mode you want) then open your files in your phone and just paste the pictures, videos, music etc. the phone automatically syncs after you disconnect and will organize your files into where they should be.

Did you know accessibility features allow these people to use their phone in a way that wasn't possible before Android and iPhone OS? But no, fucking live wallpapers are so much more important, they deserve a minute of your time. They add so much functionality! You couldn't add 30 seconds to at least show people what accessibility options they can expect.

Not had mine for so long but I can use it for listening to music the entire day and read mail and stuff. And when I get back home I charge it.

So it lasts atleast 8 hours for me between the charges.

But ofc. you can't record video for 8 hours or play games. Thats gonna eat alot of battery.

@pyttt They're basically the same thing except the Desire has a higher resolution camera. But just because a phone has more megapixels dont mean its a better cam. The more megapixels means bigger picture and file. It's the lens that makes the better picture. Yet anyway, both devices r basically the same. But the desire has a much better build quality in my opinion.

The windows mobile "HTC Sense" interface looks and works in a more or less the same fashion as a Android device running "HTC Sense".

Both Windows Mobile and Android devices should be celebrated for allowing vendors (like HTC) to customize the user experience in this way. And i agree, The default Windows Mobile UI is pretty bland compared to Androids default.
