  • Nice except top string is way out of tune. Otherwise, exceptionally well done

  • does anyone know the tuning on the guitar?

  • ...wonderful...haven`t listened to that tune quite a while...

    ...anyone know the tuning?

    thanks

  • William Ackerman's tunins are all listed on his website, under 'My Music', then 'Tunings'.

    This one is in B F# D# F# C# F# Capo 2nd fret.

  • I was filming in Maui, in a helicopter, with this song. The pilot turned off the engines as we ascended up a thermal lift, and this song was playing...Perfection, and a Master Piece of Music and Nature....I still am stunned by his music

ps. my first comment on you tube, but sometimes you have too

  • alison, who was your pilot? and though i love the idea of which you speak, its kind of impossible. that's okay though, as long as you had a good time... love this song, especially Will's version.

  • lol, he was a former Vietnam Vet Pilot...and yes its true.. actually we were flying right up a waterfall when he did that....I will never forget that. Amazing.

  • Fantastic!!

  • Very good! Well played! William Ackerman's music is simply wondefrul

  • I haven't listened to this in so long, and still is beautiful as it was when I first went on here to see this cover. Amazing. 5 stars.

    Thanks

  • Wonderful. A special tune indeed. thanks

  • I love that style of play, nice visit, thx... that rocking trick at 4:20 is great.

  • Really beautiful. I've never heard this piece by Ackerman. Well done.

  • i looove this song of william ackerman. i keep trying to look for this on myspace to add to my page, but they dont have it. succks. but its okay i can just go here to listen to it haa

  • I love Will´s music. Is so peacefull. I think this particulary is a bit out of tune. Maybe my mistake but listen near 3:50. Anyway a great song. Thank you

  • wonderful music, thank for that

  • Be proud.... very proud....

  • i wish i had such a nice guitar

  • Great Job. W.Ackerman's music is so peaceful and inspiring!

  • Thank you for sharing your talent with us. William Ackerman has said that none of his songs use the standard guitar tuning.

  • Nice job, William would be proud.

  • Great song, awesome cover. nice job, man.

  • nice work! =) I love this song.

  • enjoyed that......muchos muchos.....z

  • Will Ackerman may not be as technical as some but there's more heart and beauty in his tunes than most.

  • Now i wanna see him play "Bricklayer's Beautiful Daughter" some day which is also one of my favorites of him.

If anyone has that please... with sugar on top, make it available :-)

  • amazingly beautiful ... well well done!

  • Will had some tragedy early in his life that, I'm sure, took him to places in his soul that he otherwise might not have known. That's probably why one can feel his soul in his music. I saw him at the Beverly Theatre in about 1982. Great.

  • thats cause he's from vermont...

  • magnificent

  • the tunning.....pleaaaaaase!!!!!!!!

    compliments!!!

  • If you go onto Will Ackerman's official site there is a list of all his tunings on there somewhere.

This song is in: B-F#-D#-F#-C#-F#, Capo II.

  • I think you made a mistake, when I tuned my guitar like that I was like 1 tone over the real tunning. I took over the capo and was ok.

  • I had forgotten how good this is...brings back many happy memories, thank you so very much!

  • i agree so much with you, his tunes aren't as technical as some of the more popular acoustic guitar players and thats a shame that to get world recognition you need that technicality i guess, technical or not, will has and will always be one of my fav acoustic players.

  • My goodness, this is fabulous, I came here after being reminded of this album by Vangelis' Antarctica video, because I had both albums in the same cassette, and listened to it in an endless loop while in nature for long periods.... so beautiful! Thank you.

  • where i can get ackerman`s tabs?

  • I tried this in a different tuning but it didn't really work as much... This sounds alot better in it's original tuning though, good job. I'm just really glad to some Will Ackerman songs on YouTube now, it's such a pleasure, thanks alot man...

  • ive always loved his music

  • That was SO wonderful. That is my FAVORITE Will Ackerman tune... You have done it complete honor and it is a pleasure to tell you so. Thank you.

  • can you tell us where to get the tabs? Well DOne !
