Among smaller predators, it's a tossup as to which has the more up yours attitude, badgers or wolverines. Plus the wolverine, unlike the badger, isn't as territorial, and has been known to track prey for 20-30 MILES, patiently closing the gap.

As long as you're not prey or a competitor, wolverines will leave you along. Otherwise, watch out.

The wolverine has a clear advantage over several wolves.

I live in Alaska and I will tell you that the wolverine would definitely win. It is just the pure ferocity low ground approach and strength per pound. Bears are even reluctant to face one, especially black bear. Wolverine have been known to leap on moose and caribou from overhead to extract a kill. I have seen one, from a distance and trust me they are nearly fearless.

Dispite what you may think wolverines skin is alot thicker and looser than you might think like all mustilids (family name for wolverines, badgers and weesels) they can achualy turn around in there skin and bite back so even if the wolf got its teath around its neck its very hard to do damage to there vital organs because you can't get a hold of them.
