My Dad got this game and honestly me and him didn't like the game itself (like, combat wise and stuff) but I do think the story to it is beautiful and I always sit on the couch and write stories while listening to the music from the game. Beautiful music! :)

Quite possibly one of the saddest scenes in video game history when Emil sacrifices himself, alot tears came out from this tough guy xD Oh and if your a guy who thinks you NEVER cry, well lucky you that your emotionally dead or you've never felt loss or death in your life and that it makes you a shallow individual but at least ya don't cry right! ;)

@ff74lifeE3 I agree, I used to love Action FPS games...Gears of War 3 is great and all, but after playing Nier I felt a different vibe towards shooters and how they are more of the same.

Nier opened my eyes, it was more like an interactive painting and story book.

I will also play Lost odyssey which i heard have the same effect...

@taciturnboy88 I have heard El Shaddai is meant to be quite similar to Nier as well. Lost Odyssey, yes, I would recommend for the same thing, it was a very personal and emotional game. Another game I could recommend for this feeling in a game would be Xenoblade Chronicles, and if you can get your hands on it, the Drakengard series, which is essentially the prequel to this amazing game. I wish more games were made like this.

It is the Sequal to the ending of where Caim and Angelus go to Tokyo in our world and get shot down which causes the black disease in Nier. the weapons in Nier even relate to Drakengard one, Angelus's body becomes weapons, Her tail a massive two handed sword, her talon a dagger, and also her fang as a dagger.

The more times this song played in the game, the more memories of loss experienced in the game flowed through my head. Just hearing it now I can see it all. Finding Gideon and his brother's mom dead. Gideon losing his brother, Kalil and Beepy, Roc(The wolf shade) and his deceased master who loved him so dearly who he calls father. The King losing Fyra, Emil crying from having his body changed into a monster, The kind and his men sacrificing themselves for you. Crud, I gotta stop. Not gonna cry.

i seriously stopped playing after getting ending B. the game told me to get ending C but after i collected all the weapons, i didnt want to go collecting the keys anymore. i couldnt bear to c the same ppl and shades dying again.

i remember on my second time playin from the same file, the game showed me the shade side of their story and it was sad also. i didnt want to kill them but i need the key. after beating it the second time i just quit.
