@murph277v Yeah but you throw a couple of millions into promoting and advertising, people will take up the sport in the USA. Look at the growth of UFC. It costs money to popularise a sport, you cannot do it for free. TV coverage is not cheap neither charity. And when millions of people take up the sport, they will become passionate about it and the more they see it on TV everyday, the millions of young people who end up playing it will create a wave of talent that will be hard to suppress.

@187prettyboy ufc is a good sport to watch,but you hardly see hundreds of young kids eager to play,theres a difference between someone watching and willing to play a sport..besides the yanks have too many over commercialized sports in america,they would fuck up the amatuer touch that rugby still has..they dont even have a decent club scene yet,and im not talking pro clubs,its a grass roots level where they will really lack,and college rugby isnt a huge part of the game..

There are more players of Tongan ancestry in the past and coming world cup then any other nation. There were greats of the game who were Tongan, Tonga lacks funding to compete with the more established unions but their players are worldwide. That aside NZ will win the World Cup at home.
