Problems with Mark's Gospel

Taking verses out of context is just deceptive. Jesus said in these acounts his time had not yet come for the Son of man was not to be reveiled at that time. There were plenty of doubters and skeptics at that time with visions of a militant messiah. Jesus' purpose was not to reign over an earthly kingdom. In those cases it was sufficient for those who witnessed. It was part of a much bigger picture, that we as believers wait with great anticipation.

@jetszombie64 I would agree with your statement. Jesus' mission was the removal of sin and bringing a "New Testament" to the world. There was a much bigger picture to be concerned with. The Jews were looking for a messiah to restore the Jewish kingdom to the glory of King David.
