  • nice performance.....

  • That is her niece- brother's daughter Lavanya

  • thanks to all who commented on this song

  • Good Evening Carnatic Musical Vocal Exponent, vidhushi sow.Nithyasree Mahadevan ji, you had sung the song"Ellam Inbamayam" with your beautiful voice and excellent style. Govinda Radhe, Gopala Radhe.

  • Who is the girl singing along with Nityashree?

  • @Gansanspic Lavanya Sundaraman

  • @jade21342 *Sundararaman

  • One need to have a magnanimity to comment about a musician. It's like comparing two mangoes. One may like malgova and another sinthura.

One has to realise that it takes years to sing with such clarity. Can the commentator do it. ? Leave alone go near her rendition.

Be good, do good and think good.

NIthya amma, you are a great contemporary musician. Keep up the good work and wake them up from their from their deep slumber.

  • I love Nityasree generally. But here the tempo needs to be picked up; a lot: Else one might fall sleep! Otherwise ok.

  • MLV is beyond comparison. Her voice is so rich in sweetness, listening to her was pure joy. Nithyashree cannot come close to MLV at all. It is almost sacrilegious to expect this.

  • with all due respect to nithyasree as a musician, the original hit with honey like voice of MLV is still a far reach from this performance. MLV had modulated her voice SO well compared to open throated shouting by Nithyasree..

  • Dear @dhamdham123, Open throat rendition is a gift and nasal voice was not considered appropriate during Sangam Period. In fact one gets disqualified if a nasal voice like MLV is produced. I'm saying this with all due respect for MLV. Nithyasree is a gift for its rare even in Western Classical to find a female Soprano Artist with a full throat rendition. After the advancement of play back singing, nasal voice like that of MLV has become a norm and full throat rendition an exception.

  • I think I realize she is singing it too slow

  • awesome performance, great lyrics

  • I like it but I can't figure out something is different. Lol. Damn I love the way they sing very clear.

  • Very nice
