Something that I just noticed about this song....and I have listened to it oooh so many times is that at the end it has this James Gang feel like from Walk Away. Rock on Arthur and all who love his music.
Yes, jahhorkle, there are two musicians from Connecticut (at least) on it; specifically, Charlie Karp on guitar and David Hull on bass.
They were just a few months removed from having recorded the 'Buddy Miles Live' album when they signed on to record the 'Vindicator' album with Mr. Lee.
New/Old.. Love record to be released on Sundazed. Title: Love Lost , straight out the CBS vault, perhaps its Dear You which was never released, 2 track acoustic demo teaser is available on their website on 7 inch with picture sleeve.
I was just out of high school when this came out-already a fan of Arthur for 5years-(that's him of course on the cover) and the bass player and guitarist are both from Connecticut (where I was living at the time) SHOOK my world it did w/ it's heavy bottom and monster drums ! Finally got to meet Arthur in 2002-this one of his best efforts ever !!
This album seemed like a sign from heaven, with the cleaning man wearing an "ACE of Spades" on his coat, suggestive of God cleaning up the act of the reluctant rocker, (seen with his hand up, on the cover )., He is being shown a break through, urged to move ahead into a new dimension of life. At one point, I saw a gigantic "V" descend from above. I spent the next eight years sober and serving Srila Prabhupada, spiritual master of the Hare Krsna movement.
He taught jim morrison how to sing [ he said he didnt listen to rock music only jazz thats how he got those jazz inflections in his melodys ,the same thing with gordon lightfoot who started as a jazz pianist ].
I dig all of Love's and Arthur Lee's tunes, fucking amazing music!!! Still fall for Forever Changes, beautiful all the way through, makes my heart bleed... I've seen Love twice in concert, both in Minneapolis, first time he had laryngitis and he went out there like a monster and tried to let it rip and we all tried to help... Amazing!!!
I agree with you about all of Love's albums. Each were different and had there own unique charm. I am also from Minneapolis, though I live in Vegas. I bet you saw them a 1st Ave. The first time I got FC on vinyl was a Cheapo in Uptown over 10 years ago. I sometimes miss living there. I never got to see Arthur though because I spent that time he was touring in small town Colorado and New Mexico, but I listened to his music like it was going out of style. FC reminds me of the southwest.
Four Sail and Out Here are two of my favorites. I actually think everything Love put out is great including what Arthur Lee did with a new group of musicians. The new band was heavier, but the old band had alot of chemistry that is Beatles like.
a very great guy ! and excellent music...

IMHO this song has the flavors of Hendrix, The Grateful Dead, CSNY, but with its own vibe. Truly one of the underrarted performers of his time.

This is as heavy as Black Sabbath. it's pure metal. Cool as hell.
