Daniel, I dont think Jay knows youve been scratch building and flying EDF's for years now......all i know is as soon as I got to 70mm. things changed drasticlly with flight handeling in the larger EDF's .Big sweeping turns , those military colors don't help much with orintation....Keep up with the Vid's man your a GOOD teacher in this COOL hobby. The new Guy's depend on guy's like you for the do's and don'ts.Peace.
Daniel, Nice video man . my 50mm, 64mm jets i have no problem with but when I jumped up to 70mm. they don't want to sink, i added weight to my f 18 but havn't put it back in the air yet.Jay is right these things are way different than prop job's........Hey keep up the great RC education it's a great help to all...Peace.
Hey man. Nice plane and nice video. A tip on landing jets. Try not to fly it like a prop plane. Set yourself up far out, and make sure you can see the plane from the side rather than nose on. Allows you to see the airspeed easier.
Try and keep a constant angle of decent, using power for rate of decent, and elevator for speed control. Carry a little extra speed. When you get wing waggle it is TO SLOW!!
Fly to the runway, and flair AT THE GROUND or 1 foot above and kill power in flair. Have fun!
one turn each aileron clevice... push them both up. it'll fly much better. Maybe another turn will help more.
for low speed program in a SMALL amount of spoileron (deflect ailerons UP) no more than 5 deg... these things are pitch sensitive to the ailerons. (you can mix elevon with elevator and get a huge increase in response)
Bobcat clones tend to stall wingtip first and pitch up. This is called the Saber Dance and there are only 2 ways out... Power:weight >1.2:1 or let it spin.
@DanielMadrigalC always try new mixes (such as pushing the ailerons up for spoileron) with LOTS of altitude... and be ready to flip the switch back. If you have too much upward deflection it'll loop on the spoilerons with neutral elevator.
Well done. The conversion seems a complete success and the E-flite EDF seems to have ample power. The plane looks like a handul to land but I'm sure that more experience with it will help to figure it out. Seems to fly pretty darned good for a $55.00 airplane. Thanks for sharing Daniel!
Nice job Daniel! that is one hot landing to bad you dont have room for some flaps, mix in some spoilerons that will help. Good luck will be looking for flight #3...
@Giovanniram22 like so much else. Of cause one could eat for $5 a day, live on 15m² and never heat to more than 16°C; then donate all to NPOs like the WWF. But do you?

We used one for our FPV formation camera ship.

1st pass .. with phone speedo... 99.6mph
2nd down wind 107.5
3rd down .....107.3
remember when landing.. elevator controls airspeed(angle of attack) and throttle controls altitude.
still harder to land than her big sister falcon120

mine lands fast too. still not quite use to it. but i also sometimes fly at a grass feild. there i take off on the gear then just land on the belly.
looks good on the 80mm.

how do you launch it in to the air ?

If you didn't do it yet, program in spoilerons to help with the landings. That sucker looks FAST!

Excuse me. English is not my language. What is "NPOs like the WWF". By the way I was refering to this particular model.

nice jet Daniel, rapid flight, for landing with the wind put a little throttle to avoid stalling at low speed:)) COSMOS1966

thanks for the comment ye I think I tip stall both landings : ?
DanielMadrigalC 3 weeks ago
@DanielMadrigalC after the video my friend, have seen a slight drop, the model needs more speed to the landing to avoid dropping. COSMOS1966

Much like the Bobcat, these little suckers takes some practice to land smooth. They love to Kangaroo, as you can see.
