And those of you who think that technology will take your jobs just remember that more efficient production does not mean less jobs. If cars could not be made cost effectively there would be no market for them. No market = No Jobs! Technology is one of the fundamental drivers of increased production and efficiency in any economy.
I think a lot of you are grossly overestimating your ability... and have you ever heard of John Henry? Yeah he supposedly beat the steam drill but according to the legend he died trying. Besides, maybe an excellent rodbuster can beat this, but how many are excellent... 5% maybe? Why work harder if you can work smarter? I will take my sawzall any day over my hacksaw, my hammer drill over a star bit and sledge, and my nail gun over a hammer.
I'm a rodbuster and I've used these before they're overrated by alot . and the wire isnt strong and isnt a viable tool for anything other than precast tying of ten m bar .try making anything other then a snap tie and then tell me how great it is .
Been rebar tying 15years. Hand full of tie wires in one hand good old fashioned wood handled twister in the other, race to 500 ties I'd smoke this guy. While he's busy changing out his wire, I'll tie another 100 ties.
@JasonBobbieMackey You will have a single wrap and he will have a double(not cross) wrap. I still think the good ole pliers and spool is better with a good crew of tiers.
@salvalope I did this demo at the world of concrete at the Vegas convention center. Date and such look correct for this to be the same exact demo. 08 of march... show was in Feb-08 That tier is nice and all but there are better non battery Powered units on the market now. I'll tell you what that tier is crap when it got left in the truck the night b4 and the generator is 100 yards away. You also still have to bend over and lug that thing around with you too .... its BS. I cant out run it though
Hahaha that guys a Dick. U will waste ur money on that piece of shit. Good luck not falling on your ass when the rebar not tied rolls under your feet. I'm sure someone made some money on this garbage though.
The max rebar tool can easily eliminate many hours of man labor and increase productivity. Its a simple machine and very user friendly. As for chaparrojan i know for a fact that you cant find a man on this planet who can wrap and tie 55 rods together in less then one minute if you know one you probably should post it as a response to this video.

@CADDY555 hey while you're at it let's get rid of compressors, nail guns, electric saws, concrete mixers power drills and all those evil things that make life easy. We need all this crap just to keep the asians from taking our jobs. They don't use power tools, they just throw more asians at it!
these gunsa are manufactured in japan and the company is not looking to put rod busters out of business. Look up NIOSH on the Internet and check out the study done using this tool vs. Hand tying. It's amazing what hand tying does to the body. This is not a threat it's a solution
There are tons of other facets related to the iron workers. I attend seminars every year side by side with locals around the country that regularly use and reccomend these tools to the union contractors that pull workers from their locals. 3 of the top customers in this country using these tools are union rodbusters that see the value in a product that doesn't leave their workers disabled with carpal tunnel syndrome and back issues.
@salvalope I'm an ex rodbuster and although I'm only 31 my wrists and hands are fucked up from tying. P.S. I agree with all of your comments except this one; it's insulting, untrue, and uncalled for.
Ties are done to hold the rebar together while the concrete is pured and cured....what are you talking about? Ties have no structural value other than that? Don't be afraid of technology man these tools are used on some of the most important jobsites accross the country.
Wow...Spoken like true dumbasses...you guys still ride around in horse and buggies or did you breakdown and realize cars are better...join the 21st Century Morons.

First of all, Most Rodbusters would ruin this machine in 2days flat.
Second they cost 2000-3000$, use stainless wire spools that can only do about 150 ties. So, you'd be changing the wire all the time.
Third, you can't tie double wire.
Fourth, suck it up and realize you make great money in Unions. You want to go back to doing a shitty warehouse or office job?
