  • Just a pity OSHA were not on the ball in N.Y with the tower cranes.

  • I wonder how much the OSHA official made personally from this tape? As a worker I see them as a waste of time and just another layer of government. I follow the rules laid down. ut these guys show up and just harass us sometimes they will come out one day and see that we are doing it right and then keep coming out. - what a waste of piss

  • @pevanbrook I'm glad to hear that you work for an employer that holds their employees to a high standard for safety.

  • wow this is beyond stupidity!!

  • Thank you for posting this video, I will be using it in my Ground Disturbance classes from now on. I like the fact that thisvideo shows how fasst a cave in can occur and just how unlikely it is for someone to survive a cave in.

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • The guy in the trench is looking like he is lost, than the sides fall in.

At that point he is just hanging on the trench box.

But at no point does he say anything.

As far as the guy being fine, perhaps, but perhaps not.

  • This video is awefull! That guy would have been fine. OSHA is just another useless gov agency. If I dug holes for a living that camrea guy would have been taking a dirt nap!

  • @A3PLURIBUSUNUM

Is that right? Would have been fine, huh? Tell that to the hundreds of workers who die in trench cave-in's per year. I'm sure they all had the same mentality as you. You know, the kind that says "I've been doing this for 300 years, and I've been fine." It's much more economical to comply with the standards the the company have to go bankrupt paying the negligence lawsuit, never mind the OSHA fines.

  • lol i hope some1 learned his lesson.... lucky bastard

  • Wow.

  • From the video you can see the bank starting to separate from the laborers left side. Did they warn the guy standing on the trench box? If you're going to violate OSHA at least do it with some common sense.

  • Someones getting a HUGE fine and probably their job!

  • Great example of what people just don't expect. If he were at the bottom he'd be dead.

  • someone must have gotten fired?? that's totally fubar
