I can see why Gaga and Bush are compared... I don't like Gagas music, but I give her credit for being really talented in her genre. Some of her songs actually have a thought behind them, which seems to kinda rare these days... Kate Bush of course is extremely talented in her own music style. Besides, they both make a certain choreography for their songs and make the songs by themselves. That makes them similiar in a way, yet they're diffirent.

So strange and bizarre but at the same time so charming and beautiful.
Still way a ahead from a lot of pop album produced today.
A wonderfull record from a wonderfull and brilliant artist

Oh, how I dreade ever coming across this topic! I'm sorry, but whoever thinks Lady Gaga to Kate Bush is even possible is some sort of sensory deficiency. Kate Bush has touched sheer genius, whereas Lady BlahBlah is purely derivative; all her stuff has been done before, and better the 1st time. Her music is 1-dimensional. She's nothing but rehashed Madonna, Bjork, Leigh Bowery, Alaxnder McQueen, and....Kate Bush. I'd do her, though. Just wouldn't buy her records.

Bush is a Goddess to be sure.. and the one I prefer, by far. , but perhaps one should show a BIT less venom on a topic they clearly are ignorant of... or perhaps be shot with a ball of their own shit.

@harlotstarlet this is a ridiculous statement. I am not trashing Gaga but KB is a musician of an entirely different order. When I shop at my deli in the summer time and I hear Paparazzi it's ok. But KB songs have a direct channel to my soul. This is like comparing gourmet food with junk food. Sure we can like both. But there is a distinction. KB has a bag of time-tested songs she wrote when Lady G wasn't even a glimmer in her parents eyes.

Comparisons are natural & expected; that's what we humans do. In the macro world of music, think about the incredible diversity of sounds being produced everywhere at once, white anglo female singers & performers have much more in common with each other than they do with anyone else. With a broad musical horizon to consider, Kate does indeed bear comparison with Tori, Gaga, Madonna, et al. Kate's definitely my hands on, er, I mean hands down, favorite without a doubt. I've always loved you.

I'm not sure why Lady Ga Ga is being compared to Kate , When she clearly is trying to one up Madonna. That is the target ... that is where the gigantic money is .... SEX POP. The themes Kate Bush writes of are multifaceted and often complex studies in human behavior. Where Lady Ga Ga is attempting to titillate and represent coitus. And there is nothing wrong with that , but it hardly scratches the subjects Kate writes of. It is really apples and oranges.

Wow, that was cool. The only songs I knew by Kate Bush were, of course, "Wuthering Heights" and also "This Woman's Work." But I've been listening to a few of her others today, and they're all very good. This one's crazy as hell. I wonder if Animal Collective ever heard this; it reminds me of their song "We Tigers", a lot.
