  • How much does the gtx 280 need? All i have is a 250 watt power supply.

  • @smattman22 PC 100% usage (wattage gaming Peak) = 363 Watt.GTX 280 requires you to have a 550 Watt power supply unit at minimum if you use it in a high-end system. That power supply needs to have (in total accumulated) at least 40 Amps available on the 12 volts rails.

  • why didn't you buy a modular psu

  • Hey whats for the power supply? and can i just put a new graphic card but the power supply is weak?

  • @TheGhostfreak212 psu powers up ur motherboard, graphics card, hard drives, etc. You have to look at how much wattage your new graphics card uses and see if your old psu can handle it.

  • @7bikerboy7 What happens if it didnt handle it?

  • @TheGhostfreak212 Card might not work, Card might work but not at its best, might fry.

  • @7bikerboy7 Heyy is a 500 watt for a gtx550ti good ?

  • @PawanChannel the gtx550ti needs 400w min. so you're good with 500w

  • tank tha pice ov shit out and go bk Nvidia

  • erhm... need help here... i have a pretty new packard bell PC but i cant seem to find the power supply for the graphics card? any help plzzz

  • @maxz3r The tower has one power supply for the whole computer

  • YOU'RE SO FAST MAN

  • great video man been looking for this kind of video for a while

  • THANK YOU MAN! :)

  • stick an arctic cooling freezer 7pro rev2.0 job done?

  • i think i put my psu the wrong way, similar to the psu in the video the big fan on the psu is it suppose to be facing down into graphics card cpu etc. i put the big fan facing the top of the case?

    help!

  • This video look like the best way to show how to install a PSU ^^ Good job!

  • @G0DLIKE911 Thank you

  • hey man, 1 question does it matter that the graphic card overlaps the proccessor? i see you had your old Gtx 9800 over it? the card i want to buy is slightly bigger than my motherboard does it matter? thanks in advance

  • @jair333 no thats fine

  • can a gtx 460 fit in a dell vostro 230 mini tower ? plz reply

  • @7bikerboy7 thnx alot , im just making researches and asking ppl if it can fit in my pc , im gonna switch from a 9400 gt to a gtx 460

  • @7bikerboy7 THANKS just the answer to the question i was looking for. the 220 tower is the same model as the 230 correct? and wll a Geforce GTX 560 fit in that case as well? thanks in advance.

  • @jair333 Not sure..ucould also buy a $30-$50 case that has plenty of room for you to upgrade to whatever u want now and in the future.

  • @7bikerboy7 from the looks of it, your case looks as big as mine, everything is in the same place, PSU and stuff. Would your pc be able to fit a Gtx 560 or is that to big for your computer?

  • @jair333 my tower measrurements are 16" height... 17" deep...and 7" wide. the dell vostro 230 is 14.69" height.. 17" deep..and 4.17" wide

  • @7bikerboy7 oh i have the Vostro 220 mini tower (not slim). Looks like your case. Would your Case fit a GTX 560?

  • @jair333 ok ur case height is 14" everything else is the same...yeah the gtx 560 will fit

  • @7bikerboy7 Thanks for taking your time to answer, I appreciate it. 1 more question, Would you recomend a Corsair cx 600 Watt PSU, or the one you have?

  • @jair333 They r both good but i say mine is better cause i have 50 more watts...Ha Ha

  • @7bikerboy7 Hahaha indeed. I would buy the antec but the dimmensions are too big for my case, according to a forum post my case default PSU has a 3`4, 5`9, 5`5 size, and the Corsair has that exactly. if not i would go for the antec :) its the same price in newegg. Again thanks!

  • @MrCk4002 I used to work out

  • 2:13 computer geek

  • i put in a way much higher power supply then what i needed.

  • @7bikerboy7 with a 300w power supply would i be able to install an amd radeon hd 6570. im really need to know cause i want a graphics card that can run modern games at around 30 frames or more if possible.

  • @TheGalaxycast No..read what it says about power supply..*PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard

&400 Watt or greater power supply recommended (500 Watt for AMD CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode)

    *Certified power supplies are recommended

    *Minimum 1GB of system memory

  • @7bikerboy7 Hey Bikerboy I have the same system you do and the video card just went out. I need to know where the little white 3 plug wire plugs into the motherboard from the video card if you send me picture or take a close up video of where to plug in wire. I would appericate it very much.

  • @Recondog90 If ur talking about the one i was messing with at 5:15 on the video...i didnt use it, i removed it completely, my graphics card didnt require it

  • very easy

  • Yeah, really helpful ! I wish I could find one like that with a Nvidia Quadro 4000, I'm not sure the minimun power supply it needs...

  • @Christomb look at what your graphics card requires for wattage and get a power supply higher then that

  • @7bikerboy7 Thanks ! But it's not that simple, Nvidia says that Quadro 4000 is "max power consuption is 142w" but looks like there is a mistery calculation between that and the PSU power. 200 is bigger than 142, but I'm sure that a PSU with 200w cannot handle the 142w of Quadro 4000. So I'm not sure of nothing at this point, hehe.

  • This looks intimidating

  • was the 9800gt running fine on ur old 400w power supply ? plz reply

  • @elias1995ish yes it was running fine, until my card started going bad

  • 1:22 : "lotssawires!"

    WIN!

  • your video really helpful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey you have exatcley the same cooler as me , do you know if this cooler can handle a high overclock ? : )

  • @benzipz Shut up and leave me alone

  • @7bikerboy7 wtf ? i asked you a nice question jeeze ? :s

  • what if my power supply doesnt have the wires on it to put into my video card?

  • @Vandantcyclone Why doesnt ur p.s. have one for the graphics card? I would think they all do

  • @Vandantcyclone You can always get a dual molex to PCI-E power adapter.

  • Yes..i took it to geek squad and they tested the graphics card and they said it was fried...It worked fine for about 2yrs

  • You had problems in playing in 9800GT with 400W?

  • @GTALeonardo No. He fried his 9800GT.

  • Thats what happened to me when i was playn call of duty...I took it to geek squad and they said my graphics card was bad.

  • when watching hd movies for about 30 minutes. the screen freezes and computer restarts, could the problem be with the powersupply? (800watt) (9800gtx+)

  • awesome :)

  • can i get the slower version plz

  • so if yo uupgrade your power suppl yyour pci slot will output more pwoer?? or it will have a line that connect directly to the Graphics card from the power supply to power it?

  • @Drew927 It wont put out more power..The more expensive powr supplies put out cleaner power, its quieter, more efficient, safer against lightning strikes. The pwr sply has the same 12v output plug just for the graphics card.

  • @7bikerboy7 soo if my 300watt sytem wont play games good i should up grade power supply with a graphics card 12 v output and connect it directly ansd is should work great?

  • @Drew92 If ur system wont play ur games to your liking the problem wouldnt be the power supply, its the graphics card. So if you upgrade ur graph. card most likely you have to upgrade pwr suply. For example...my old graph. card fried, so i bought a new one which requires at least 450 watts of power, but my old pwr suply was a 400 watt, so i had to upgrade pwr suply as well...

  • Hey..Well u have to see what the max wattage is on your power supply and dont exceed it with ur graphics card

  • Man i have an question. I have an on board grapic cart from ati but i want ti instal the his readean hd 5770, now my question comes how do i choose with one i wnt to use

  • Why did you speed up the voice?

  • @Selboriginal1 hey whats up....i just figured u could still understand what i was trying to say

  • Antec is one of the worst PSU you can get.

  • @fPARAQ Why is that?
