Resolutions on both devices affects the speed. The 2x has a 800 x 480 display while the Atrix has a 960 x 540 display, meaning it takes more time to load the pixels, hence showing that its somewhat biased towards the 2x's side.

Another factor is the UIs on the devices. Thanks to the motoblur, it shits the Atrix up from a speed standpoint, also making it a biased test of speed.

BTW, not hating on the 2x, just stating that Atrix haters should look at the facts before judging. Cheers.

im looking between devices for time and i see that (despite atrix is on many things more good than optimus) , optimus gives me the idea that is a brand very good quality phone, i dont get that idea when looking on atrix.

btw i saw that optimus has more vivid colours than atrix.

I have the optimus & Atrix & the Atrix is Much faster & camera is better & can take widescreen pictures & the atrix remembers your settings when you leave the camera so flash is off & gps is on when I go back into camera, where as the optimus remembers nothing.

This is directed towards the part of the video showing the pinch to view 7 panel overlay capability that the Optimus has and the Atrix doesn't. The Atrix got something even better with the gingerbread update. Now you can just swipe your finger from the bottom of the screen to the top and you will get that 7 panel overlay and it doesn't matter what screen you do it on. in my opinion that is better than pinch. The Atrix is much better since the update and can now compete with the Optimus.

The atrix 4g has a higher resolution screen so it has more "space" to load, same with games etc.

Honestly I like motoblur it takes a beating but people haven't tried the new version. The atrix screen has to be seen to be believed doesn't do it justice in this video

@azlanah It uses the same screen as iPhone 4, IPS. Although showing white on Atrix is better, compared to the pinky white on 2X.

I don't see where the Atrix's 1ghz of RAM comes into play. The LG seems as at least as quick, if not more so.

Had my 2x for a little over a month the battery does take a hammering but on the whole I am very pleased the display is better than my old i8910 oled.It also has a nice weight to it feels really nice quality

@la0reja4ever It would probably be a little better, but it would be soo expensive. When i bought the LG2x the galaxy S was going for a much higher price, galaxy S2 is definitely going to be much more.

I think the atrix kind of kicked butt but the bad thing about it is the motoblur on it which makes it laggy. Once google releases android 2.4 which is for dual core processors and moto gives it to the atrix it will be the phone to have.

ok i have a few corrections on the atrix, as far as the power widget, i have the same widget as the Optimus, i have the same news feed widget as the Optimus, you can also pinch to zoom on the menu just like the Optimus, my atrix isn't rooted, did u update your atrix to the new OTA update cause that also improved my speeds as well as other features

i was thinking of buying the xperia arc, dual core cpu's arent much use now and if the latest version of android (so called ice-cream) has gpu acceleration than there wont b any difference at all as the phones now are already buttery smooth.

I prefer the LG cause it has an unlocked bootloader. Unlocked bootloader=android devs can easily play with its software. Look how Paul of modaco made 2x a beast.

The 2X's display has definitively a red tint and the lower resolution. But the overall UI looks far better than the Atrix's Motoblur.

I definitely prefer the LG, but one thing to take into consideration as to why the LG seemed faster is the resolution. It will take more time to render on a higher res screen. Especially when both have the same cpu. But the Atrix does have a full gb of ram, so I actually could have just debunked my own theory just now. lol
