Sure, it takes talent to hit a baseball. But when you hit the ball and you're all blown up on steroids, it goes farther! Strength does make a difference between a double and a homerun! He may have been hitting them hard in Pittsburgh, but he wasn't hitting them out of the park like he did after the steroids! Funny how he started hitting the most homeruns of his career after Mark Mcguire hit 70 in a season in '98.

34 homeruns in a season is the most he ever hit in Pittsburgh. I have doubts about them being mammoth. YOU need to get REAL! 73 homeruns in a season at the age of 37 when the most he previously had hit in a season was maybe 48 is perfectly normal. There's always players hitting 25 more homeruns in a season than they had ever hit before, and at the age of 37. yeah yeah!

I live across the bay from PacBell park and can kinda see into the bowl of the stadium. Last year when he was going for the other record, i was sitting on the beach and could tell when Barry was up. All the flashes from the camaras were going off. That was the first time i every seen that.

Steroids or not u still have to hit the ball. Barry sees maybe 2 good pitches a night and crushes them. The pitcher already has the advantage when a hitter is considered to be great when he succeeds 30% of the time. He stills see em and crushes so back off Barry.
