The scratching of the metal sides mentioned several times here is definetly a real problem (at least for me). Used this case now for about 4 months and the metal sides look really nasty.. :(

I tried to fix it with insulating tape but it didn't work. I cleaned both the phone and the case about every 3 weeks in average. I just decided that I won't put it back on again. This was a difficult decision because apart from this issue, it's a really nice case.

Yo man, LOVE your reviews ! question: I just ordered one for my iPhone 4 in White, that plastic on the inside on the sides, that really doesn't scratch the metal band on the iPhone? Also, the phone when it's held face down it won't fall out of that case easily will it ?

@groshong1 this is just my experience but my candyshell got super scratched. the plastic around the vibrate switch snapped off, the plastic around the doc connector cracked, the rubber is separating from the plastic, and not to mention the rubber flaking issue. still a good case but a lot of problems. thats why i just ordered one of these case mate POPs
