The bear is just playing, even though its a small black bear, if it got serious it could snap you in 2. Bears are ridiculously strong, I work in a zoo and help feed the carnivore's, we have 2 Grizzlies and 2 sloth bears. Once the grizzlies got in a scuffle over food and Boomer, the younger one whacked Bailey and the force was so great that you could feel a freaking shock of it in the air.

Is this really cruel? I mean, the bear looks like he doesn't mind- and in nature, bears wrestle each other all the time. As long as the animal is well cared for, I honestly see no cruelty. I do wonder why the bears arms are shaved though. Perhaps this could be acceptable if it was well regulated, with serious prison time for people who mistreat the animals.

I used to love "Bear Wrastlin" as a child, though I couldn't participate. We'd have a bar and someone would have a "Tame" bear a LOT bigger than that wee bruin. You'd pay to enter and win if you could last 30 seconds without being pinned. Very few made it the bear just glomped them. And I loved the mountain men who owned 'em! Problem was when a human got injured, the authorities killed the bear, no matter how drunk and stupid they were, like stabbing it with a knife.
