I grew up dirt poor on a reservation with two alcoholic parents that were very abusive. I fell for the progressive/liberal line and it got me absolutly nowhere. When I decided that only I was responsible for my happiness and success, I completed my PHD and was able to get out of a cycle of poverty. I have never heard any conservative say what you claim they say unless the person had to hear it. A lot of people on the dole are lazy, some are not.
