If you did your breed research you would know they were specifically bred to LOVE people. When they were bred for dog fighting the dogs would have to be handled by the people a lot, they didn't want a dog that would turn on them. They are great loyal loving dogs. Nothing you can say will change my mind.
Great video........I volunteer at an animal shelter and exercise and socialize mostly pit bulls. I have not been bitten nor had any become aggressive against me. I had a 1 yr old female (used for breeding) in the exercise yard today and one of the kennel attendants came in to get her because she was being adopted. She had the sweetest temperament and will be a wonderful dog....you pitbulls haters GO TO HELL!

This dogs are so amazing and loyal. If people could just see them for what they are and get to know one. I love this breed so much and when I move to a place where I can get a dog this is the breed I want. People need to treat this breed as any other not as a monster. The things some people do to them is very sicking to see.
Take dog fighting out of the equation and irresponsible dog owners who abuse these dogs and use them as status symbols (men) then the pit bull would be just fine. Any puppy is gentle and will stay that way in the right, responsible, loving hands. They need to be trained properly and exposed to many situations and people and loved and not be abused and not allowed to run loose. Address any aggression issues with any dog ASAP with a professional to stop any aggression AKA responsible owners.

Because it was circling the house, and wanted more of our blood, and its eyes were rolled back cuz they're all the devil, and it would've had to be killed anyways, once they go that way, they are always that way. I share my home and my Love with 5 bueatiful PitBulls, two of them are rescue animals, and let me tell you there is not enough hours in the day to recieve all the affection these wonderful companions have to give you. i saved the pit i have now. They guy who had him had him 2 be cool, had no time 4 the pup. He was starved beaten & neglected. he was only a baby :( Thankfully some1 saw what was goin on & brought him to my neighbors, when i saw his sweet face i knew he had to be mine! Has been with me 9 months & went from a broken soul 2 the happeist dog ive ever seen. he just luvs everyone & thing he sees! His love is irreplaceable & unconditonal! The pitt that bit you was obviously not socialized that is the fault of its owner not the dog. Do u know that in temperament tests they score higher than labs golden retrievers & even beagles. They R GREAT PETS but if your going 2 have one U have b a very responsible owner. Maybe take a class on training. I think all shelters do it
They were the picturs I was expecting, actually. If humans fight and kill these beautiful, sweet and smart dogs, what hope do we have for oursleves? People need to stop believeing heresay and the media's portrayal of pitbulls. They're a lot like people. As soon as people see pitbulls, they instantly judge them. I know a pitbull. Her name is Hennesy. I wish I could take her home every time I see. Not because she's abused, because she isn't. She's loved and cared for and treated like the perfect angel she is. I want to take her home because she's sweet, friendly, gives great kisses and hugs and generally lights up my life every time I see her.

this makes me wish I still had Coffee. She was sooo cute and sweet. She curled up with me when I was pregnant and when I had bad morning sickness. I had to give her a new home because I couldn't take care of her right being so sick. She's in a happy home though with 2 other dogs to run around a big feild with and 2 kids to chase.
No I got Bit and my dog attacked. We were on our property and those dogs who did it had great owners who would never teach them to kill, but they tried. They were uncontrollable and broke out of the house. Pit Bulls will never be good family or public dogs. They are killing machines whether you want to admit it or not. BAD DOG! They almost killed my dog, the bill was outrageous and I have scars all over my hands. They are lucky they didn't kill him, but the Pit Bull who did it is dead now.
@Tmobol95 Because of one or two dogs you will condemn an entire breed? I met a woman today who had a swollen hand from a large dog bite, and the dog was GOLDEN RETRIEVER! My American Pit Bull Terrier was attacked by a larbador mix, a weinie dog, and a collie mix. My dog has never done anything to hurt anybody and most of the breed hasn't. But its people like you that hurt them, and its people like you that make me sick.

@angelliz001 I am very well educated on the breed.Even the animal police who came and picked up what was left of the fowl creature that attacked us, after he was killed with a blow to the head and hip, said that all Pits are cruel deep down, they have instinct to kill.Thankfully, this terrible breed is illegal in my town and surrounding towns, because there have been over 300 pit bull attacks in the last year and a half.2 little kids were killed last year from a pit attack.I am sry for you.
@surleyguru I don't need to own one, as i said before, there is enough evidence out there to prove it IS the breed. Pit Bulls are now banned in my community. Even the animal cops who came on the scene agreed that Pit Bulls SUCK! It had bee the 5th attack in 2 weeks. They are KILLING machines. Sure, not all of them show their bad sides, but the all do have it. Not all bulls completely suck, but the ones that I've interacted with, have killed. All have the potential, all are bad.

My cousin got a full blooded red nose pit for free because the owner was going to take the remanining pups to the pound. All the pups that didnt find a home and went there were put down automaticly because of the "breed". There dog is really well behavied and is very sweet.

When you adopt an animal from a shelter take a look at that lonely pitbull in the corner getting ready to be put down... Take a chance try something new... When you go to get a puppy at the pound look at those adorable playful pitbull puppies and imagine what some person is gonna do if they adopt them adn their bad... Think what is gonna happen if noone adopts them... Think of the love, joy, care, and protection they are gonna bring you... They are angels sent from heaven... Love them please...

Why doesn't the media ever give this breed a chance? I had a pitbull when i was little she ran away or so we thought... the next week someone brought her body back... it had teeth marks and her ear was missing they said she was hit by a car... My dog died to one of those people... It breaks my heart to know somebody could do that to one of these animals... They are a very gentle breed... Lift the laws on pitbulls... It is truly sad how ignorant people can be! Some won't even take the time to find out what a loving and devoted dog the American (!) Pit Bull Terrier is. They are fun, caring, intelligent, beautiful and faithful and willing. We have 4 and have had more, as some of these were rescued and adopted, one from Germany. They all need FOREVER HOMES...I love these dogs...they have my HEART...

I lost my job at a local shelter because I saved, and adopted out Pitbulls. The manager HATES them and targets even the puppies to be put to sleep before anything else. I know own 5 Pits that I have rescued and work with a local resuce/breeder to save as many as I can.
@fegertt my pit got loose one time and ended up at the local shelter, where he was immediately stuck in the very back to be put to sleep within 24 hours, thank God i made it there in time. They guy even remarked "wow, he's so gentle for a pit" im like dude, get a clue. there were about 8 pit pups there, that i wanted to just scoop up in my arms and run with. such a sad place.
its sad how anyone could treat a beautiful and loyal living thing this way i own a rednose pit and hes nothing but loving and silly i can see in his eyes he would do anything an protect me from anything if he can i love my pit i love all pits all they need is a chance i admit i used to be afraid of them until i came across my baby and a few other pits and im now 100% on there side come on people lets pull together and help them out they would if they could for us !

Amen! I dogsat for a pitbull for three weeks in manhattan. At first, I was really scared to put a leash on him! I was terrified but he approached me and started licking me, like he trusted me for the very first time. He reached out to me. We walked at the park and along the streets of manhattan. It was our first love together. I cried when I left. I knew it was something special. It changed my heart forever:)
My old dog was what would be described as a pitbull. My stepdad took her away when he left and i didnt get a chance to say goodbye. I miss her so much! so do our other dogs.
She was really well behaved and loved people and animals so much! she did many tricks even though she was very young. i wish i could see her one more time to say goodbye.

Every pit bull terrier needs to be heavily socialized with people and other animals, that's the ONLY way to save this breed. Every "protective" pit bull, every human shy pit bull, every fear biter or human aggressive pit bull adds to the defamation of the breed. Pit bulls have to be dependably trained and social, otherwise every bite just reinforces the public perception of the APBT as a monster. We can't be in denial that the breed is capable of severe damage when out of control.

i own 2 dogs one is a 7 year old german shorthaired pointer and the other is a 1 year old pit bull. guess which one has bitten other dogs or people. i'll give you a hint its the older one. to all you pit bull haters out there open your minds and your hearts a little more and maybe you will understand this loving, loyal and caring breed of dog. pit bulls 4 life.

All I have to say is people u really need to own one of these dogs for a month and maybe u will change ur damn mind about these sweet,loving and innocnt dogs..I have three and they are my best friends and they listen to me a lot...They have never tried to bite me or attack my other dogs so people it ur fault these innocent dogs are leaving so quickly NOT THE DOG

1) It was trained to be
2) It never had any training or socialization
3) It was scared or felt threatened
4) Crappy breeders

If you did your breed research you would know they were specifically bred to LOVE people. When they were bred for dog fighting the dogs would have to be handled by the people a lot, they didn't want a dog that would turn on them. They are great loyal loving dogs. Great video........I volunteer at an animal shelter and exercise and socialize mostly pit bulls. I have not been bitten nor had any become aggressive against me. I had a 1 yr old female (used for breeding) in the exercise yard today and one of the kennel attendants came in to get her because she was being adopted. She had the sweetest temperament and will be a wonderful dog....you pitbulls haters GO TO HELL!

This dogs are so amazing and loyal. If people could just see them for what they are and get to know one. I love this breed so much and when I move to a place where I can get a dog this is the breed I want. People need to treat this breed as any other not as a monster. The things some people do to them is very sicking to see.

Take dog fighting out of the equation and irresponsible dog owners who abuse these dogs and use them as status symbols (men) then the pit bull would be just fine. Any puppy is gentle and will stay that way in the right, responsible, loving hands. They need to be trained properly and exposed to many situations and people and loved and not be abused and not allowed to run loose. Address any aggression issues with any dog ASAP with a professional to stop any aggression AKA responsible owners.

I've got a chow chow and i love him more than my own life, though those rat dog Chihuahuas, they're real devils (not all, but the ones ive met were pretty mean). My chow Taz is actually very mean and I know that. Because it was circling the house, and wanted more of our blood, and its eyes were rolled back cuz they're all the devil, and it would've had to be killed anyways, once they go that way, they are always that way. I share my home and my Love with 5 bueatiful PitBulls, two of them are rescue animals, and let me tell you there is not enough hours in the day to recieve all the affection these wonderful companions have to give you. i saved the pit i have now. They guy who had him had him 2 be cool, had no time 4 the pup. He was starved beaten & neglected. he was only a baby :( Thankfully some1 saw what was goin on & brought him to my neighbors, when i saw his sweet face i knew he had to be mine! Has been with me 9 months & went from a broken soul 2 the happeist dog ive ever seen. he just luvs everyone & thing he sees! His love is irreplaceable & unconditonal! I know a pitbull. Her name is Hennesy. I wish I could take her home every time I see. Not because she's abused, because she isn't. She's loved and cared for and treated like the perfect angel she is. I want to take her home because she's sweet, friendly, gives great kisses and hugs and generally lights up my life every time I see her.
People hae to realize that pitbulls are just dogs, not monsters, and having one in your life is the best thing ever. :)

this makes me wish I still had Coffee. She was sooo cute and sweet. She curled up with me when I was pregnant and when I had bad morning sickness. I had to give her a new home because I couldn't take care of her right being so sick. She's in a happy home though with 2 other dogs to run around a big feild with and 2 kids to chase.

No I got Bit and my dog attacked. We were on our property and those dogs who did it had great owners who would never teach them to kill, but they tried. They were uncontrollable and broke out of the house. Pit Bulls will never be good family or public dogs. They are killing machines whether you want to admit it or not. BAD DOG! They almost killed my dog, the bill was outrageous and I have scars all over my hands. They are lucky they didn't kill him, but the Pit Bull who did it is dead now.

My American Pit Bull Terrier was attacked by a larbador mix, a weinie dog, and a collie mix. My dog has never done anything to hurt anybody and most of the breed hasn't. But its people like you that hurt them, and its people like you that make me sick.

@angelliz001 I am very well educated on the breed.Even the animal police who came and picked up what was left of the fowl creature that attacked us, after he was killed with a blow to the head and hip, said that all Pits are cruel deep down, they have instinct to kill.Thankfully, this terrible breed is illegal in my town and surrounding towns, because there have been over 300 pit bull attacks in the last year and a half.2 little kids were killed last year from a pit attack.I am sry for you.

@surleyguru I don't need to own one, as i said before, there is enough evidence out there to prove it IS the breed. Pit Bulls are now banned in my community. Even the animal cops who came on the scene agreed that Pit Bulls SUCK! It had bee the 5th attack in 2 weeks. They are KILLING machines. Sure, not all of them show their bad sides, but the all do have it. Not all bulls completely suck, but the ones that I've interacted with, have killed. All have the potential, all are bad.

Pits have been decorated for heroism by Presidents, lived in the White House, are one of the most easily trained dogs for rescue and therapy work. Abuse and neglect can make ANY breed mean!

My cousin got a full blooded red nose pit for free because the owner was going to take the remanining pups to the pound. All the pups that didnt find a home and went there were put down automaticly because of the "breed". There dog is really well behavied and is very sweet.

When you adopt an animal from a shelter take a look at that lonely pitbull in the corner getting ready to be put down... Take a chance try something new... When you go to get a puppy at the pound look at those adorable playful pitbull puppies and imagine what some person is gonna do if they adopt them adn their bad... Why doesn't the media ever give this breed a chance? I had a pitbull when i was little she ran away or so we thought... the next week someone brought her body back... it had teeth marks and her ear was missing they said she was hit by a car... My dog died to one of those people... It breaks my heart to know somebody could do that to one of these animals... They are a very gentle breed... Lift the laws on pitbulls... Bring them back to society... Don't fear them respect them... Please...btw im 13

It is truly sad how ignorant people can be! Some won't even take the time to find out what a loving and devoted dog the American (!) Pit Bull Terrier is. They are fun, caring, intelligent, beautiful and faithful and willing. We have 4 and have had more, as some of these were rescued and adopted, one from Germany. They all need FOREVER HOMES...I love these dogs...they have my HEART...

i love pitt bulls and ppl think they are so mean but ppl make them mean. they are sweet animals but so many stupid ppl use them for fighting to make money, its terrible :(

I lost my job at a local shelter because I saved, and adopted out Pitbulls. The manager HATES them and targets even the puppies to be put to sleep before anything else. I know own 5 Pits that I have rescued and work with a local resuce/breeder to save as many as I can.

@fegertt my pit got loose one time and ended up at the local shelter, where he was immediately stuck in the very back to be put to sleep within 24 hours, thank God i made it there in time. They guy even remarked "wow, he's so gentle for a pit" im like dude, get a clue. there were about 8 pit pups there, that i wanted to just scoop up in my arms and run with. such a sad place.

its sad how anyone could treat a beautiful and loyal living thing this way i own a rednose pit and hes nothing but loving and silly i can see in his eyes he would do anything an protect me from anything if he can i love my pit i love all pits all they need is a chance i admit i used to be afraid of them until i came across my baby and a few other pits and im now 100% on there side come on people lets pull together and help them out they would if they could for us !

So sad that they're discriminated... its just like people. Just like racism. Any dog can be raised to be aggressive, any dog. Just like any person can turn into a criminal. It makes me so sad that they're treated awfully. I would cry if anyone ever did something like in the pictures to my pit. :(

The only reason pitbulls fight is because they are trained to by their masters. All dogs have a master. Fightning pitbull's masters are the people who taught them to fight. They only want to please their masters no matter who they are! Blame the deed not the breed.

aww...pics at 0:38 - 1:00 made me cry! Poor dogs!!! That shows how we humans can be cruel... I hate how ppl assume that they r bad, just becuz they r pit bulls! Pits r not bad or vicious, it's just u have to train them!!! Simply as that! When any dog is correctly trained it would bring nothing but joy. Dogs - best humans friend !

Amen! I dogsat for a pitbull for three weeks in manhattan. At first, I was really scared to put a leash on him! I was terrified but he approached me and started licking me, like he trusted me for the very first time. He reached out to me. We walked at the park and along the streets of manhattan. It was our first love together. I cried when I left. I knew it was something special. It changed my heart forever:)

My old dog was what would be described as a pitbull. My stepdad took her away when he left and i didnt get a chance to say goodbye. I miss her so much! so do our other dogs.
She was really well behaved and loved people and animals so much! she did many tricks even though she was very young. i wish i could see her one more time to say goodbye.

Every pit bull terrier needs to be heavily socialized with people and other animals, that's the ONLY way to save this breed. Every "protective" pit bull, every human shy pit bull, every fear biter or human aggressive pit bull adds to the defamation of the breed. Pit bulls have to be dependably trained and social, otherwise every bite just reinforces the public perception of the APBT as a monster. We can't be in denial that the breed is capable of severe damage when out of control.

oHow many poor innocent dogs have to die because of ignorance? I have owned a Pit and she was a very obediant and sweet tempered pet. I wish they would concentrate more on the evil owners that are responsible insteadof trying to destroy an entire breed. Innocent dogs and pet owners are paying the ultimate price for a few deviant sociopath's that think laws do not apply to them. People stop and think what next the poodle, labradors or maybe your dog you have now.BSL is not the answer at all.

it's so true! pit bulls are only bad if they're put in bad environments... just like rottweilers, dalmations, and all other big dogs... pit bulls that are given love aren't aggressive like people make them out to be. my best friend has one and he's such a puss. little chihuahuas back him down and make him piss himself. any dog can turn of course, but pit bulls arent' any more like to than any other big dog! great movie
