Beginning dance work is GREAT, all in sync, didn't distract from the flags at all.

Great job first rifle, that was like a FOUR, on a solo toss! You have guts.

This show was exactly how I would have written it, I just wish it was cleaned a little better. ESPECIALLY that rifle toss that, if done right, could have sent a guard to nationals I bet.

Overall? Good job.

I agree. And free hands!!!!!!! And rifle rotations were ridicoulus. I think that was a tripple at 5 height.

we used apologize too for our competition :D

but we have a very different interpretation from those of you, check my video out, hehe.

It began with blower's daughter and closed with apologize

anyway, about your performance, your own movements and skill was good, but IMHO maybe it needs a little more training.

and about the choreo, well, there were so many comments already about that so I won't add more.

There were some great choreo in your performance which I like though :)

FYI this school is Steel Canyon High, and this is there first year of having a color guard for their school and the two guys are band geeks their instructors are Jim and Melissa Barton and they are great teachers. if you want to see a great performance then watch an Eastlake show! they are the best ever and still under Jim and Melissa.

The first part of the flag feature is pretty good.

But all else was kinda bad.

Instructors need to give better work.

And they need to learn and perform it alot better.

and it looks like they've never held a technique block in their lives.

o.o I don't really notice the whole transition thing (though it'd probably be blindingly obvious if somebody pointed out a good one to me. xD) and I don't know what a Technique Block is.

Hrm. Maybe our guard does have a problem. O_o

haha. what I mean by technique block, is when you hold a practice, or even just a half hour, working on getting all of your triple heights the same, my instructor always said, if you can get your guard to throw tripels together, you can get them to throw 6s together.

and I geuss I noticed the transitions because I'm a total nazi about transitions and drill. and when I see someone just walking to their next drill spot, It bothers me to no end. >:/

I actually don't know what level we are. Something like... AA, or A? I dunno, I think the division our school's guard got placed in was a little high.
