  • This one was scrapped a while back and the last remaining one of this style #643 is being scrapped right now

  • Man theres nothing wrong with hgih floor buese...but noooo, people always have to change things even when they dont need changing. In Montreal the STM is supposed to retire all Classics from service by 2012. Why? Cause old folks have to climb to steps? No because of fucking politics, pardon me, Novabus and politics!

  • @retroolschool If it aint broke, don't fix it!

  • The walkway looks kinda narrow but its good too see those old pumpkins

  • Well, you have Invero's at least which not many systems have. Yeah they are junky, but they still neat.

  • Wow this sounds awesome. I wonder if there any New Flyer D40s with 8V71 engines, that would be something to see

  • @8v71buses

A few D900s and D901s in the U.S. may have had either the 8V-71N or the rarer Cummins VTB-903.

  • @ClassicTVMan81 - As far as I know, Flyer did not offer the 8V71N engine in their buses at all. AM General did as you know.

  • @busrailfan

    I'm referring to the 1979-80 D900s and the 1981 D901s.

  • @ClassicTVMan81 - Yes I am aware of that. And I do not know of any that were built with 8V's at all. As far as I know, Flyer Industries did not offer them with the 8V71 engines.

  • Cool. What city do you live in?

  • Really great sounding bus. Almost sounds as if this is Fishy in disguise!

  • Yeah kinda! Except these are a bit throatier if you know what I mean.. kinda deeper sound.

  • @MysticMTL good old 6v71

  • That bus sounds wicked for a 22 year old bus!!

  • Oh wow!!! She good the ultimate power for an old girl! Wonderful catch!

  • Oh yeah i was wondering if these were still around notice that the rear axle is set up a little bit furder to the rear like the Flyer D900's and the same with the engine compartment hood and the passenger windows are set up different compare to the other NFI HF buses that were built after these a great catch and thanks for the video.

  • Actually look again, the rear axle is in same location as later D40's. But do notice the FRONT axle is closer to the front of the bus which is same location as the older Flyer Industries buses except for Vanocuver's D901A's, E901A's, E902's and SF MUNI's D902's which have the front axle set further back to accommodate the wide front door area.

  • My God! Shit sounds real good. Thanks for posting 5*'s.

  • Love the sound of that engine! It's music to my ears. :-)

  • Thank-You so much!
