  • Dats amazing

  • Hello, can anyone help me here? I'm a 14 year old boy, who really would like to start training strength. I don't have any weights so I thought I should use my own body weight. Can any expert tell me what are the most effective methods to exercise by only using my body weight?

  • Great guy, he shows for sure the right warm-up for TRX Workout!

  • dude, i thought you were a painter taking a break for a few minutes... j/k! very cool, lets you see that you can get in a good workout anywhere - anytime - & it doesn't take much (if any) equipment at all. now get back to work!! :)

  • Gayass music

  • @rockerD1717 you are correct..the music sucks.......i thought rap went out like 10 years ago.....

  • Beast

  • what do you do for lats?

  • walkiing on your heads bear strength respect.

  • Hey Dude, were you in the Military?...You look dangerous!

  • like your mind-set

  • The routine is nice man, i will be trying this! Also those one arm Bupree are sweet!

  • excellent workout

  • Does anyone know who the song is by? It's going in the iPod if I can find it. And I'm going to do this workout. Thanks.

  • My intentions for making this short video was just to show what you can do with limited equipment and a good imagination. Nowhere have I stated that this program is for "building size and strength."

  • not to be a hater, but this stuff is lame. why not do something harder and better for strength and size, like the front lever, back lever, iron cross, one-arms chins etc?

  • this guy works for trx

  • I have to say that is far better then majority of the TRX postings. BRAVO!

  • Thanks everyone for the positive feedback!

  • Saw this routine ages ago. Haven't seen anything better since. I've got my TRX now. Thanks for posting bro. You ARE Terminators big brother!

  • this guy is terminators big brother man lol

  • U the MAN!!!

  • That was awesome. Much more intresting then the boybuilding routines I have been doing for yrs. Will be trying this. Thanks for posting.

  • Cool! I love Capoeira! Keep up the great work and good luck with your art.

  • Cool! I love Capoeira! Keep up the great work and good luck with your art.

  • Had a class yesterday. Awesome. I do capoeira and this exercise routine is really going to help with my conditioning and flexability. Being able to adjust the exercise so I can continue on where I would normally stop was a big plus for me.

  • No complaints here! Have to try one to really appreciate it.

  • That was pretty legit. Any complaints/cons about the TRX?

  • Great! Also, checkout my other video for more exercises using the TRX.

  • Wow - you're in shape man. I'm going to get me a set of these trx babies

  • Hey in terms of being "ghetto" no worries! Like the marines say "improvise, adapt, overcome". Good luck my friend and hit me back if you have anymore questions. Deebo

  • I have the perfect alternative. Do overhead lunges. Grab a weight (anything that weighs between 20 to 45 lbs. Weight plates are perfect) and hold it over your head while lunging. Do anywhere between 25 and 50 lunges. Make sure you keep your arms locked out and don't drop the weight on your head. Good luck! Deebo

  • Looks like a great workout. I've started my quest for a bodyweight workout and i think I will try this one out. Only difference i have no hill to run up, (texas = flat) so im gonna look up an alternative, and as an alternative to the TRX im gonna use a horse lead and just tie some slip knots in it... lol. ghetto i know. but hey same aspect. why spend 150 bucks :P

  • and i do not have stairs to replace the uphill or i would use that. any suggestions please throw them out there.

  • check out "the gymnastics body" by coach chris sommers

  • The sprint uphill was about 50 meters at about 15 percent grade.

  • Intensity is the key

  • Cool workout and great attitude, deebo. Whatever keeps you coming back for more and making you better...You got it . Look at all this conversation you done stirred up....My trx is arriving next week!!! Rock on.

    RW

  • Yeah I worked my legs hard while sprinting up the hill.

  • ah i see,how many meters of sprint it was more or less?

  • Well this is a hell of workout for upper body but is it enough for lower body (Legs etc)?

  • You did more in 3min then 90% of people do in 2hours at the gym. Nice

  • th fucking most intense workout within 4 mins dude !

  • Oiiiii........ this man can train....!

  • pretty solid!!!

  • Cool ! But the exercices are a little bit advanced i think.

  • This is not an "ad." Do you see me selling anything? This was just intended to be something fun and different. Nothing more! If you want more exercises on the TRX, then go to their site.

  • good way to market what they're selling i agree with ''navysealtm12'' also.

  • perfect way to get toned

  • great stuff

  • Fitness Anywhere.

  • AWESOMENESS!

where do u get those thingys?

  • awesome

  • ANy sequence of exercises done over a long enuff duration will the body to exhaustion. Also. Tho every part is worked. This type of training would only be suited to break up a mundane routine, and not for extended use. Tho the individual in the video is in great shape. I doubt very much that doing this type of workout is what did it.

  • Does this works the rotator cuffs? :)

  • Wonderful. I love these type of workouts. Thanks for posting.

  • This workout looks great; the only problem I would have with it is that it's very advanced. I'm not even going to try to do pushups with my foot up like that. :) I'd love to see any intermediate level bodyweight + trx workout. Something for people in pretty shape already but not superheroes like the man in the video. Thanks!

  • Looks like a great workout.

    ps... you forgot your backpack.

  • one of my favorites..

  • Because we are so commercial in the west.

We feel like we must spend money to get in shape.Nike Adidas and others have warped our ideas

  • I always find this kind of training alot of fun and alot more varied than the gym.But strangely public perception means people look at you ike you are a bit mad. If you train like this.

However in the gym they take no notice. We need to be more like Asia. There they just exercise where they want and when they want, wearing anything they want. It is much more benificial to society. Than the way we view training

  • You're in great shape. Thanks for posting the vid.

  • Yeah. Just screw in a heavy duty eye hook into that 4x4. This should work that is if that 4x4 is at least 7 feet off the ground. Please let me know if you have anymore questions. Good training!

  • Hi Deebo5000,

Very impressive. Thank you for uploading! I've been considering buying the TRX to use as additional facet to my training regime. My problem is that the only pole/post I could use at home is a 4 x 4 vertical post. Do you have any thoughts/opinions on this?

  • You're a MONSTER :SALUTE:

  • ok, he is undoubtably fit, but i dont see the point or benifit in these strange excersises, whats wrong with conventional training ???

and wots with the fatigues, is this guy a.w.o.l. ? LOL

  • There is absolutely nothing wrong with the conventional style of lifting! This is just another form of EXERCISE! Exercise should be several things like fun, innovative, progressive, repeatable etc and that's all I am doing. It's just adding a little something different to some of the other styles of workouts I perform. What happens to a boxer who doesn't practice take downs and ground work in the MMA? Asking me that question earlier is like asking a MMA guy "what's wrong with just being a boxer?

  • ok deebo i see your point,

variety is the spice of life,

i could not do what you do, very impressive.

  • No thank you for your comment! I appreciate you watching the video and stating your opinion. Many people share your thoughts. I just would like to open peoples eyes to different way to workout and in my opinion a fun way to exercise.

  • Probably not because your body will adapt to the stress put on the muscles. You should add some good weight training using some heavy weights and stress working some of the basic lifts like Bench Press, Squats, Deadlifts etc. To keep seeing results from your workout, variety is the key. Good luck!

  • You just inspired me, i started out with weight lifting but grew tired of it after a month, so i started to run at 70-80% BPM for 45 minutes everyday, i do some push ups, pull ups, crunches, hanging knees etc, going for my third week now, and my strength is really something else, you do great, seriously. Can i buy those ropes at a regular sports store?

Keep up the good work man. You're really something.

  • Thanks for the kind words. Please continue to do the things that make you happy and keep you fit. That's what working out should be all about my friend! Good luck.

  • hi, great vid! i was wondering tho, can you do this every day and still gain mass?

  • Yeah me too! Jack LaLanne is the man! He is truly incredible!

  • Jack LaLanne is 93 and works out two hours every single morning of his life, including 1/2 hr. of swimming. Hope you will be doing this when you are his age.

  • Dude your badass. I've been looking at bodyweight exercises and all i see on here is vids by skinny guys that do everything half ass. You didnt even look tired at all your the man! Where did you get that rope with the handles at I would like to get one.

  • search fitnessanywhere on google. It's called the TRX Suspension Training system.

  • Wow man. That's what I love about YouTube. I get to check out new exercises that I never knew existed.

You didn't just show me one. You displayed a couple that I'd like to try out for myself.

Thanks for posting this cool video. You should really make some more.

  • Thanks for the kind words and please feel free to use the exercises you like and have a great time while building strength, balance, and endurance.

  • Awesome workout, thanks for posting.

  • This looks like a great, fun workout anyway!

  • Bodyweight trainging is great but as you can see this guy had to use the TRX to do anything for his back, any1 know any good bodyweight exercises for the upper back which don't use TRX beside reverse pushups?

  • Thatis a damn good question! Of course pull-ups are good if you can find a bar. Also if you can't find a tall bar to hang from you can find a low bar and do pull-ups while you hold your body at about a 45 degree angle and keeping your body as tight as possible.

  • Yeah, use a handrail to do bodyweight rows.

  • Great workout! Thanks for posting it! Most people would be vomiting 2 minutes into it.

  • Bodybuilding & most weightlifting are primarily for vanity. If you want functional strength, functional flexibility, functional endurance - then to hell with weightlifting & to hell with "targeting" muscles & specific muscle groups! If you want to show off how much you can bench-press, then fine, train yourself to do benchpresses. If a small tree ever falls across your chest, you'll be ready for it! (And little else) But for real fitness, work out everything at the same time. Bodyweight 4 life!

  • I have used that TRX strap thing and I think it's great. However, to say that weights do not give you functional strength is completely ignorant. Bodyweight stuff is good, but there is a point where your strength and power plateau with bodyweight exercises. To be truly powerful and strong, weights are indispensable.

  • It's all good guys! Body weight, Dumbells, Kettlebells, Barbells, etc. Do what works for you and just have fun!

  • weights should only be used as an extension of bodyweight training where bodyweight alone doesnt help. for example the okinawan and japanese karate systems employ weights to attach to their feet to improve their legs for kicking. or weighs on shoulders to deepen a stance and increase a stretch. Weights make you strong, but if you can use it then theres no point

  • thats different. thats training for a purpose. majority of the people who work out with weights are only doing so for one purpose: to look big, bulky, and muscular in front of other people. though it may not be as useful as training for combat, it is certainly a fair goal

  • thats fair enough

  • Weights build lean muscle mass and help with balance, co-odination and movement. You think that the best MMA fighters, kickboxers and boxers do not use weights except as an extension of bodyweight training?

  • Did you see the part where i said "can only go so far to help ME". No you must not have. And do you think kickboxers and boxers only use weights to train with?! no! Weight lifting isnt ideal for fighters as its harder to train the fast twitch reflex, the reason why alot of fighters feel weight lifting slows them down. Plus im not a pro, which is why for ME, body weight training is still at the top.

  • find chuck liddell's training routine(in youtube) for examples of how martial artists use weightlifting. As for the fast twitch reflex, that depends on what exercise you do. Proper weight training will increase the fast twitch reflex. Bodyweight training is good exercise, but there is nothing special or better about it than any other exercise.

  • Great demonstration of fitness.

  • this style of work out is the best. If you think only heavy weights is valuable then you need to evaluate your goals. It's not how much weight you lift, it's about how efficiently you move your own weight. This is true fitness! Plenty people lift heavy weight, but this guy can do 100 pushups straight. This is true fitness.

  • lift weights that are twice your bodyweight and handling it will be twice as easy

  • not true. THe bigger your body gets the less efficient it becomes. IF you want to be a pro body builder then go for it. But, if you want to be a rock climber, boxer, runner, gymnast etc. this will make you a much better athlete. This is like sports specific training and we all know how valuable that is for athletes.

  • Yes it does build muscle but my definition of muscle may be different than yours. The TRX will definetly help you get more defined and help sculpt a well proportioned physique but if you are looking to be a pro bodybuilder than you may want to add some heavy lifting(barbells and dumbells) to your program. The TRX has helped me build muscle but most importantly it has improved my balance and core strength which has improved my athletic endeavors dramatically!

  • does the TRX build muscle? I seems to build flexibility and some strength but if I want to gain weight would it be my only workout tool? Thanks

  • This should in no way replace a real strength training program, especially if you're looking to add mass. While this program does support balance and endurance, it lacks in form that you get from fee weights. Kettlebells are the best for all around I've found.

  • When ever you start a fitness program the main thing to consider is "what is your goal". Because I already have a pretty good powerlifting total ( Bench 375 Squat 450 Deadlift 450)my goal of starting this outdoor program was to gain muscle endurance and balance. So I say train to meet your ultimate goals. If you want to bench 315, then train for it! If you want to do a triathlon then train for it. As far as form, don't make me laugh. I see SO many people using horrible form with free weights.

  • I agree with you on goals. Im a martial artist, not a good one but one none the less! I feel that weight lifting can only go so far to help me, especially since i have no wish to really get any heavier, This kind of thing is real fitness, Too many times I see guys resting for 1-3 mins inbetween sets in the gym and all the power they have only stays with them for roughly a minute, thats not really for me

  • Thanks for the comment! Yes the Trx will work in your basement very nicely. Just find a a sturdy beam and screw in a heavy duty eye hook. This will work fine. Good luck and let me know if you have anymore questions.

  • WOW! Nice workout. I was thinking about buying a TRX system. Would it work in a basement? Thanks!

  • Good job using the TRX.

  • What about them? They are stimulated by what? WORK! Your muscles don't have eyes! They can't see what you are lifting. Weight is weight! So if you are lifting iron or your own bodyweight you will stimulate muscle growth. I am not saying weightlifting is bad! What I am saying is your body needs different types of stimuli to get stronger and faster like plyometrics isometrics, isokinetics etc.

  • Well first of all because you workout in a gym(giving the gym owner all your money) does not make it safe. I have seen more injuries in gyms then out. Second working with my bodyweight(170)in 3 different planes of motion is more functional then say using those single plane machines in a gym. Plus working outdoors is fun.

  • Oh yeah and there is no waiting for equipment while someone sits on it while reading a magazine or talking on there cell phone!

  • great workout--terrible music

  • I agree

  • Amazing!

  • when i saw this i vividly remember universal solider... this dude is a beast keep it up real trainning really turns me on
