This song takes me back to the Crowell Rexall Drug store at the corner of 4th and Broadway in Pittsburg KS. Mom would buy is Cherry Cokes and we would listen to this song on the juke box.
Amazing model! I love the tune! Had no idea such bass can be created by such a console. Interesting your Zenith uses a more modern tonearm than the 1958 cobramatic. What does this track at?
@APyleOfVinyl Hi, thanks for the comment! I had my turntable restored a couple of years ago, and the tonearm was adjusted to track at 2.5 to 3 grams. This changer was made by Voice Of Music, and was what was what Zentih used on my particular console. Not sure, but was the cobramatic a Zenith product or did some other company manufacture it?
I mean really, what could be any better than a monster console like that spinning some Bert, a couple of bottles of Merlot and watching the glasses dance across the table every time his bass player hits a string!!!! Great vid, killer music choice and the stereo speaks for itself, thanks...
There is nothing like that Big Zenith Sound! And that classic Micro Touch tone arm. The Quality Goes In Before The Names Goes On. Nothing could be more true. What a classic and what a keeper!
@932stretch Hi, thanks for the comment! Yes this console is definitely a keeper! I have always wanted one, and glad this one was passed on to me from a family member.
OH I sure do remember that old Match Game Theme Song . Everytime I hear it play it takes me way back in the mid 60's when first watch NBC's Original Match Game ,and still admire my favorite Emcee Gene Rayburn even though he is in Heaven today .
LOVE IT ....sounds great! play some Motown records PLZ lol

What a monster floor model! Awesome sound. I like the tune... especially the female vocal. Very space age. Now I want to listen to my Kaempfert LPs!

I just keep watching this video over and over and the one problem I can find with your Zenith is that it's NOT in my living room!
Cheers bud...

@Mrphatbastard1 Thank you for the kind comment! I need to upload some more Bert, because that style music definitely sounds best on this gem.

Very cool. I've heard this song on the radio all my life and never knew the name of it. I can hear that bass boomin' on that console. Awesome!

This song definitely has some bass, and so does the console. I don't even have the bass turned up loud. Thanks for the comment!
