  • For me it's red stripe

  • I have to do this test in approx 4 hours. Oh dear. this guy kinda does it wierdly. and how does he make a slappy sound without actually hitting anything

  • @adamflubby It's the gi (the clothes he's wearing), it's designed to sound like that

  • @TheCR155 thats DOBOK in korean

  • and for me it´s brown

  • For me it's red belt

  • i have to do this for my test im gonna be a blue belt

  • this the form for the 5th gup. the color of the belt varies from each school.

  • Blue Sr. at my studio

  • this taeguk is for blue belt in my country!

  • I am a blue 2 in Taekwondo :D (taeguk oh jang)

  • Este taeguk es para cinturon Azul-rojo

  • good form i like it. on my country is blue belt.

  • ;D;P;A

  • I think this sound is fake

  • @guyk0ffman there may be some exaggeration to the sound, but a DoBok can snap kind of like that if your techniques explode just right

  • thats brown belt

  • @MrKkjmk this is purple this is 5 the belt are white yellow orange green purple purple 5

  • @mycousiniszeus2 its brown where i go

  • @MrKkjmk oh thats weird i go to ctta

  • thank you so much! this helped e learn my form in ONE DAY!

  • Those 17 people that´s dislike this, is just because thay cant do it.

  • wath is hes grade

  • i think they purposely made the sound effects for every movements, fail

  • @bibihang Um,you are wrong. The sound is supposed to apear if you try hard enough. If you "snap" your arms and legs when you kick/punch/block/etc.,that sound is from your clothes.I have a class mate in my Taekwondo and when she does her poomsae her clothes are loud from the snapping. And if you dont' know what I mean as in snap, notice how the guy moves his body and then he stops at a HALT.

  • cool i have my graiding today and wen i train that sound comes

  • @luulzpoop what are you talking about make some vids about it man

  • This guy is excellent I always watch his videos just to get a feel of my next form I have to learn.

  • Great!

  • gonna take me a while to learn

  • thanks

  • @Chlo3iz...if you haven't learned this form through your Master, you are either not attending class enough, practicing in your spare time enough, or you're in a bad school to begin with. I'm a Master and all my Green Belts have been ready for their Blue Belt test for weeks. I wouldn't even let them test if their poomse wasn't up to par. I'm not trying to give you a hard time. I won't lie...these videos are definitely useful as a refresher. From time to time, I'll check out the palgwe videos.

  • i am traing this for my blue belt and THNX FOR THE VID I WILL 100% pASS THNX

  • this is actually easier than the 4th one

  • wats with the dam sound effects

  • what color belt is this form?

  • @ES7upyours Red tip

  • Comment removed

  • @krystianos0000

a true blackbelt does not brag about being a blackbelt,

especially if they're 8TH FUCKING DAN!! wtf! you must be like 70 years old and have trained since you were like 4 years old......or you went to a mcdojo and paid $5000 for 8th dan........i'd bet my money on my 2nd suggestion

  • this is my current form

  • 0:43 If your in a fight and you cross your feet, your opponent will attack you and will fall on the ground and you will get your ass kicked. also that guy in white pajamas groans some guy taking it up the ass.

  • @LiIdayne1232

Actually, the cross stance is deceptively stable once you've got it right. Also, it's at the end of the form, when all of your imaginary foes have been defeated.

And the guy could tie you in a pretzel knot with one hand, so it doesn't matter what his giyups sound like.

  • @CapnRis wow, It still looks so unstable though! How does that work?

  • @LiIdayne1232 cool, faggot. (:

  • I luv it.. Tae kwon is my life.. in Angola we are at "fight societ" club

  • like shit

  • now im ready for my belt promotion

  • im a purple belt and this really helped me a lot thank you

  • i kno this pattern and im only a yellow belt

  • my daughter found this vid very helpful, this is the taeguek she needs for her red belt test.

  • i have to do this from

  • wow this video is really helpful i am doing this exact same form and all of the others for my black belt test this saturday thanks

  • @chelliebeanie

yes. its dubbed in, all of his video's of poomaes's that i've seen have it. it honestly makes me lose respect for him. but oh well.

  • wtf, im only a white belt and im learning this form

  • @nggsrblck @nggsrblck

I am unsure why a white belt would be learning it - unless you have already done Il, Ee, Sam, Sa Jang - which is 1-4 Oh Jang would be the 5th form.

What is the next belt after white at your studio?

  • @333cparker

yellow belt and then yello sr

  • no need to argue over the belts - seems to me every studio is different. We have White, yellow, green,purple,blue,brown,red/white stripe, red/yellow strip, red/green stripe, red, red/black, black/white, black/yellow - then black.

I do not like the promotion test strategy of every 2 months - seems like a lot of studios have gone to that to maximize profits. Also I have never seen anyone fail - except my youngest who refused to do his form.

Black belt requires all forms, self defense 1-8

  • @333cparker

agreed. You should test when the instructor thinks you are ready, no matter how long it takes. and you should be given a TEST. not a, do this, do that. OK well you tried so here is a belt. or, oh you messed up this, try again. OK here's a belt. Honestly, i don't want it if i don't deserve it.

  • This is my purple belt form..........Confiusing on some parts lol

  • soo thanks

  • F U BALLS

    OH SORRY DICK

  • my daughter is doing this transitioning to a brown belt from red.

we pay 100 a month, and belt tests depend on what belt you're going for. I think her tests are 45-50 dollars each.

  • @demonwolfmoon

woa 100 dollar a month? is the instructor someone famous?

  • any one know m team? we r cross traing with them

  • Dang it I worded that out wrong.

  • I'm test for black belt canidate!:D

  • is this blue poomsae ?

  • @CriminalAFF yes

  • this form is weird..and my next purple belt form.....lol

  • ahahaha my master teaches for free, the tests only cost the price of the belt and certificate.

  • Doesnt wtf stand for world taekwondo fed.?

  • @watchthemasterdoit no dick it's what the fuck

  • Hmm I'm with a family plan for the one kid it's 75$ then the rest are 100$ but there are other ways you can do it too and thi poomse isn't soo hard there are worse ones

  • this is the hardest poomse.

  • @KrowmaetKrew not really.. take a look at the poomse koryo and you'll notice the grade of difficulty. for me, In the koryo you need more concentration and coordination. ;P

  • @shoppymr: To me, the easiest advanced poomsae is Kuemgang.

  • Most excellent. Thanks.

  • And I only pay 50 dollars a month

  • man 50 bucks a month! you'd be lucky to get training for less than 100 where i'm at.

  • @windowpain81 its 40 here.. some sensei r really nice

  • yeah the problem is that alot of schools are in it for the money. i remember when i was training shotokan, i paid about 50 a month. now i want to put my daughter in, and i haven't found a dojo cheaper than 100-120 a month. it's ridiculous. i wanted her to come learn at the boxing/mma gym i train at cause they are very reasonable but the minimum age is 8. she's only 6. plus i really want her to learn a traditional form before getting into anything else.

  • yeah my sensei is a police officer so he is doing it for community xD, also kung fu or tai chi classes are good too if you can't find shotokan; or just train her personally :) most parents do the in south asia.

  • WHAT?!?!?!?! Where I'm taking it, it's $109 a month! And now it's $100 dollars a promotion!

  • oh wow!! it cost me 25 a month but 35 for my whole family! thats crazy.. promotions cost like 40!

  • You don't know how much I envy you...

  • well my master/instructor isnt doing it for the money... obviously yours is out to make a profit

  • I would not be surprised. He has a Cadillac.

  • I attend a wtf dojo. This poomse is done for your green two stripe. I have never seen a purple belt in TKD.

  • yeah they change alot here in the states! in my style there is only supposed to be three belts. white, brown, and black. now you have every color . where i hang my belts looks like a bowl of fruity pebbles.lol.

  • this is so hard to remember

  • Why are so many people posting here negative? Tae kwan do is supposed to teach 1) self- confidence 2) courtesy 3) integrity 4)indominable spirit and 5) perseverance.

  • because man. you know everybody on youtube knows it all! i just weed out all the negativity.

  • The new system for the WTF has a purple belt.

  • chek mi vd out at stargell de

    cuba

  • i get every year one test and we get like yelow stripe blue dan the next year blue

and you cant get blackbelt until your 16 ime 12 with red belt stardet wen i was 4

  • Yay!!! Thank you!!! I just passed my exam for purple belt this very morning! I will need this..... And the video for sa jang SERIOUSLY helped a lot.

  • purple???

  • Yes. Why?

  • because there is no purple belt in tkd !

  • USWC probably made it up just so they can get more money. Nunchaku are $25, sparring gear is $235, Black Belt Club is $299, the promotion costs increase by $20 every 3 promotions, monthly tuition is $109... It's very expensive. Aikido cost lest than $50 a month and had fewer belts and was much more effective in subduing your attacker.

  • i disagree taekwondo has no purple belt... it's impossible to have it only in your country !

  • Well, at my studio, there is a purple belt. Unfortunately.

  • purple belt is in between blue and brown, not every place does it. go to a tournament once and you will deffinatly see a few

  • For me it's in between green and blue. In fact, I'm about to go to class as blue...

  • Im testing for my red belt next week and I need to perform Tageuk sa jang Tageuk oh jang and tageuk yuk Jang plus palgwe sa jang palgwe oh jang and plagwe yuk jang!

  • whats palgwe

  • its a form but its more simlpe and shorter then Tageuk. im not sure how many there are

  • Thanks dude, im testing for my first stripe for on my black belt and this helped alot!

  • im a blue belt it takes 4 months to test for every belt but when im blue belt it takes 8 months to test for belts when im red belt it takes one year when im black belt it takes 4 years to get to another rank

  • me too i'm blue belt

  • in my class it takes 4 months for a belt now it takes 12 to 15 months and when im a black belt it takes 3 years to get to another degree

  • what belt are you?? and my class every 2-3 months we get a test. im going for the hi- red bely at nov 14 (tommorow) im red belt right now.

  • im a bo-black(right before black)

and i have to know 4 forms, 6 one

    steps, a question and answer,

do 10 hours of comunity service, like 1200 push ups, sit ups, and kicks, i have to do 100 random acts of kindness, and 100 acts of self-disipline.

and im leaving for my pre-test now. :(

  • For our black belt test we have to know 12 forms 15 one steps and 5 questions with answers and know the number for 100. for our physical part of thetest we have to swim like a mile under a certain time run 3 miles under 23 minutes and be able to do the splits :\ good luck with your test!

  • that sounds like your school is going by the "ultimate black belt test" standards.

  • his Baro-Momtom-anmakis(middle blocks) are too high, but awesome anyways, just learned this poamse yesterday.

  • Perfeito me ajudou muito , tirei tds duvidas!!!!

  • There is NO WAY that snap is from his uniform. It is obviously dubbed in. I am a purple belt, training under a second degree and third degree black belt.

  • It's possible when you do it right.

  • and when the uniform is a heavy one, heavily starched and has a wireless microphone on.

  • Comment removed

  • @chelliebeanie If it's WTF, a second and third degree black belt is invalid to grade under. Jus' sayin'. And yeah it does sound a bit loud, unless there's a boom microphone there. =D

  • @chelliebeanie good point, but purple belt?

  • @chelliebeanie That snap is no doubt a kick "clapper" being struck in timing with the technique, which is a little "cheap". However I appreciate this video greatly as a resource, though our style has the pattern in low stance and back stance, slightly different to WTF stances.

  • @chelliebeanie The snap can be caused by a uniform, it requires a lot of strength though. However it sounds quite different to what we're hearing in this video, the "super snap" sound is clearly dubbed in...

  • @chelliebeanie one thing: by teakwondo there is no purple band and i dont know what sport you are than but maby other kind of uniform

  • @camonkill yes there is. it represents the sky and new heights. i dont know where you train. but there is a purple belt.

  • i just did it for an exam

  • i have 2 do this 2morrow 4 a tournament

  • flawless

  • ronaldo

  • awesome form.

  • where are these vids coming from?

  • Kukkiwon

  • People are getting confused. WTF should have the same belts for every country and place so people won't get confused especially when they move countries (Like me). Just saying..please don't hurt me!

  • they do, the kukkiwon only recognizes white, yellow, green, blue, red and black belt ranks. Its the individual schools that add the in between belts just to get more money for rank test and whatnot.

  • So I just wasted my money and should be black by now? cool. :)

  • It all depends, if you're good enough to be a black belt, then you should be. But a lot of schools, especially WTF affiliated milk people for money with ranks, promotion testing and things of that nature. Remember, its only a belt, all its good for is holding up your pants. Its what you know and how you train that counts, I know too many black belts that goto classes twice a week for an hour and think they are tough guys, when in fact that is just a BIG joke. Try training 8hours a day for years.

  • Oi dnt be dissin black belts its so much more then what you think man and in the end taekwondo is so much more then self defence... you have to do outside of club training to reach black belt.... my instructor says he doesn't just hand out black belts... He only gives it to the people who have worked hard and truly earned it... Even if a student knows all his work and is up to date but lets say he didnt come into train very often.. my instructor will see that and wont invite him to grade...

  • I dunno wat ur on about but at my club if you can show that ur dedicated then you want reach black belt... another thing my instructor wants to know is that you are able to defend yourself in the street. if he sees you cant do that then you wont get a black belt either. and I for one know that all the black belts in my club could defend themselves... if you think taekwondo is a big joke then my question is my friend why are you watching videos on it?

  • Work on your reading comprehension. Read my comment again, then think before you talk. Never said TKD is a joke, people who think once or twice a week for an hour is good enough is a joke, people who get black belts just because they are "dedicated" or pay the tuition are a joke, a great big fucking joke. Anyone who disagrees is a fool, a black belt used to mean something, today it just means you paid your instructor... Its not about earning the rank anymore, its all about money.

  • I don't know...I train under a an 8th degree master and i only see him 2 times per week...i think the difference is I practice when I am not with him, and it is very easy to spot those who don't. I know my instructor will not increase our rank if we don't know the material. and NO ONE tests every 2 months on the dot. sometimes it takes us 2-4 months just to move up a belt if he feels we are ready, and the little ones take even longer....

  • Wow.. sometimes it takes you a whole 4 months to move up in rank? ... Thanks for proving my point.

  • Well what exactly is you point? It doesn't seem like you are trying to make one, it sounds like you are just agrueing about nothing. To say that "people who get black belts just because the are dedicated or pay tuition are a joke" is ignorant. My master will not move us up unless we earn it. If we miss classes and don't know the material, what have we earned? We even have to write an essay before we test for our black belts. We work hard, and we EARN our ranks...

  • shit lah

  • That's how mine is. I hate the studios where they test like once a month.

  • Sorry, my school is not one of those corp. TKD schools. To insinuate that my teacher is greedy and all about money is offensive to me, because I know he is not. He teaches becuase this what he loves to do, and he instill morals, manners, honor, respect and a general love of the sport into all of his students...he is generous with his time and his knowledge and would do anything to help us out (even finanially).

  • @stormriser83 it is sad but i agree with you. today you sign a contract and you are a black belt in 3 years...please!!! I see black belts that cant ever kick above the belt and they are in their 20s

  • @stormriser83

    i agree wholeheartedly.

my school has that. there is a red belt with ADHD. he isn't very old. but he is a RED belt. and he cant do shit. I'm a yellow belt currently, and I KNOW I am above him. It honestly disappoints me how many people have a rank that they really don't deserve. rank is just a measure of time and tuition now. I go to almost every single class possible. I put in about 9-10 hours a week, and wish it was more. I will NOT accept my black belt until I have earned it.

  • @stormriser83 Agreed on many points but it is probably unfair to brand all clubs as being money driven, there are a few clubs that are still true to the traditional values however these are few and far between. It has taken me 10 years to finally find a group that is more intent on upkeeping traditional values (beyond a marketing point), yes your point is valid for sure. I also believe beyond a doubt that the calibre of Black Belts in any discipline cannot be compared to that of previous years

  • This is right but there are still ten gups and there fore there are still intermediate ranks which were traditionally right but 10th gup is always white 8th yellow 6th green 4th blue and second red do jangs do put in other colours for the intermediate gups or have the traditional stripes

  • Why can't I attend a WTF school?!?!?! I just went to a USWC studio because it was right across the street .

  • likely because people in your area don't want the politics and to pay out the nose to the kukkiwon.

  • often if you do well in your test you'll be promoted more than one gup too. White to high yellow or Green straight to blue bypassing high blue etc...

  • no this isnt green this is blue stripe! =)

  • I got my blue belt 5.poomse 'I remember you

  • its shi-jak not sheshak

  • Great Video. I am hoping to get my green belt sometime soon and this is one of the forms I have to memorize to promote. The snap is a great memorization tool. Thank you for the contributation to this section of both the youtube and martial arts community.
