  • BlessedJ85, I hope you made it through quemo, but if you made it to Heaven, then I'll get to meet you there... You know? BJ received Jesus in his heart the same night that I came to USA. I read his book in 1981, after I became a Christian myself...Praise God for His love and His mercy...

  • A very nice voice . I love this song .Thanks for sharing .

  • I LIKE THIS SONG

  • This song comforts me in my lonliness.

  • Sooooooooo Beautiful

  • Such a beautiful song!

  • I just came across this song and your message. I am praying for your recovery. Lord Jesus bless and heal you BlessedJ85. Please let me know that you are well.

  • Is this song on an album (CD)???? Please contact me at gettygirlhere@yahoo.com if you know.

  • @doreengetty OH yeah , the whole CD is awesome, just awesome, you wantt to cry , shout, everything, ummm, I think it is called My Recollections, if you look on amazon or where ever and thats not it , let me know and i will ck for sure. Itt is a fantastic CD, not one you want to just listen to one or two songs!! and it is high quality sound as you can hear here. GOD Bless!!

  • I miss my home. I just can't seem to find my way. I haven't been there in over 20 years. Life seems unfair sometimes, but then I pray and I know God can hear me. I thank him for all I have in my life and I thank him for my life. If I've been good enough. If I've lived my life to his expectations, then maybe one day I will kneel before him, and fnally find my way back home; If, I'm lucky enough, maybe I'll see you there too. If I'm lucky. God bless.

  • @ussvoyager1965 Hey sweet person, it don't take luck , it don't take being good, it just takes believing in Jesus Christ the Son of God, For GOd so loved the world He gave His only SOn that WHO SO EVER believes in Him will NOT perish but have everlasting life. Salvation is a gift from God ,can't be earned by works, lest any man should boast, If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus CHrist is the Son of God and believe in your heart that He has risen from the dead you shall be saved!.

  • This song is for those who have lost...... and feel that have nothing left here on this earth.....they do..... we are just passin thru... I'll see my lil boy i lost in 2007. This is such a comfort.

  • @MsPaulagina .Understand precisely. I lost my daughter in2009. A video Embraced by the Light by Betty j Eadie answered a lot of questions for me. Big Hug to you.

  • @MsPaulagina I'm very sorry for your loss.I've lost close family. It's nothing like the loss of a child. All the best.

  • The last time I heard this song was 33 years ago when I was 17. I was sitting on a church floor alone and listening on the LP. I sang it loud then...and I'm singing it aloud now... .

  • This is beautiful! Thanks for sharing! God bless!

  • I memorized this song when it first came out because as a new Christian I liked it and generally like BJ Thomas' music. Now, a bizzillion years later this song came back to me just when I needed it. ...My 3 yr bout of stage IV terminal breast cancer is progressing more. After this recent new test with bad news, this song came back to me! People don't seem to understand that I am not afraid at all of death!! Praise the Lord, I am going home/heaven to be with Jesus, one day soon! In Him, Deb

  • @smtwtfsmee God Bless you.

  • @smtwtfsmee Sorry to hear about your news Deb. I know about not fearing death because promises joy in time and no tears. I look forward to walking the streets of gold some day.

  • @smtwtfsmee Well,I can pray for you and wish you all the best,Deb.Mary in NYC

  • BJ Thank you... God bless always!

  • all

  • **Sometimes we forget that we are all just living on borrowed time**

So live your life and reach out to those in need and give a helping hand.

There is always some one else worse off in this world then you are.

Feel your blessings and don't forget to be grateful for what you do have!!

For many are homeless and have nothing. I run an abuse shelter for

woman and children and try to give back what God gave me the courage

to walk away from an abusive relationship. I made it out and so can you!!

  • I want this song sung at my funeral someday, if the Lord doesn't come back in my lifetime. What a blessing to have BJ Thomas sing such a beautiful song; God has gifted him with such a beautiful voice and the words of this song are beautiful too.

  • amen, amazing song

  • When I heard this song for the first time in years yesterday, it brought back memories of my dad and my little brother Danny, who have both gone to be with JESUS. My brother has been gone for many many years, while my dad has only been gone for 4 years. Do I miss them? ABSOLUTELY! Will I ever see them again? WITHOUT QUESTION! My heart goes out to anyone who does not my JESUS and therefore doesn't currently have the hope of eternity in HEAVEN. Choose JESUS before it is too late! PLEASE!!!

  • Since I lost my 3 year old grandson last year I think about "home" more and more. This song really touches my heart.

  • so many of my loved ones have went home... I can't wait... and I'm not that old yet either but I know everything is in God's timing not ours... thank you for this!

  • I'm amazed to find this song! I bought this album years ago when I was a teenager, but I dont have a record player anymore! I'd love to find it somehwere on CD. Anyone?

  • God will bring you through, He has plans for you whether here on earth or in His devine heaven. Just know that He loves you and has His reasons for your illness, we are always being tested. You seem to know Him well and know that you'll have peace soon. He loves you. God bless you..

  • This album i sing many times, its one of my favorites.thanks for posting it.as my record player dont work anymore.the melody can help heal a heart of troubles.after a job loss.or more.at one time i had it all.and today no job.or money.a totally different way i look at life today.i seen b j thomas in concert .i remember him telling about his life .and how he woke up.and ask the lord jesus to change his life.milon laferbern and broken heart is another one of my favorites from the 80s.

  • Estou esperando pelo Céu ansiosamente!

    I'm waiting longer for Heaven!

  • Translation from Google translator: There are times that life takes some very odd directions. They are strange moments like these that the Lord shows His sovereignty and dependent on Him for everything. Unhappy is the person who does not recognize the need for a protector as the Lord in your life!

  • GREAT SONG and VIDEO

  • Sometimes I feel so sad and suicide is only a step away. I try to stay on top of it.

    Please pray for me.

I am alone. I have a terminal illness and my grown up children have all grown away from me.

I love the Lord and I have true faith, but my mortal self fails me sometimes and I just want to 'go home' and suffer no more either from my illness, nor from hte indifference, or even hate from my family.

  • A comforting song for a godly person that goes against the trend of this unbelieving world.

  • I love this song because it expresses the feeling I have of being torn between two homes. I am here on this earth and there are so many things I have yet to see and do. But there are times when I feel so weighed down by the burdens of this life. Knowing that there are times when I think He could take me right now and I could drop those burdens gladly. For now, though, I am here and I'll live this life until that day He calls me to my true home with him.

  • I haven't heard this song in ages, I always loved it. Thanks!

  • Beautiful song :)

  • this was the first song i heard of his way back in the eighty's then i was hooked

  • i love b j thomas' Christian music...it's too bad it's so difficult to find...he has a beautiful gift in his voice...

  • A very beautiful song, sung by a great voice.

  • I used to sing this song for my prayer group long ago... wow, I feel old, but what a great song it is..

  • What a beautifully written song by one of the best vocalist of our time, love the message of hope, message of our eternal destiny, a wonderful place where

the weary soul will rest....yes, "Home where I Belong" Great job B. J. !!

  • CAN'T tell you what a blessing it was to find this song on here!!! I'm 29 now; my parents recorded this song off the radio when i was like 2 or 3, and i used to listen to it till i was about 8, then lost the tape. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

  • Growin" up spiritually just listening to these songs of B J Thomas and other gospel Christian artists without a mentor when you're a two-year-old Christian during the late 70s really is a struggle, but thanks to the Lord these songs really motivated me to move on thru the challenges that build my foundation in life during those formative years. Thanks, melo!

  • I agree with you cause it's the same with me. Music has played a great role in my Christian growth. Evie, BJ Thomas, Joni E., Chris Christian, Scott Wesly Brown and more has contributed a lot. not to forget Keith Green who tops them all.

  • @tesamai Ever crossed in ur mind all the lullabys that your mom sang to you when she wants to lull you to sleep? This is the same experience that I had growing up in my spiritual walk with the Lord. In my times of loneliness he would shush my sobs and cries with these wonderful songs from talented artists that would pacify my woes. Really, these songs can really put a grown man to tears just being reminded of God's faithfulness to you.

  • i remember the times when my father and i used to sing this song...he went home to God last year...it was a very painful feeling...he was my bestfriend...but i came to accept that someday, i would be seeing him again...=) he just went ahead of me.

  • if anyone can find bj thomas "for the best album" it has the best songs and is hard to find.

  • Thomas cover is lovely, but none compares to Pat Terry Group's original :).

  • Thank you so much for posting! Praise God for this beautiful song... Lord thank you for your son Jesus Christ who has paid the price so we can all be in heaven with you and our loved ones :-) Love you so much LORD!

  • I was 24 years old when I heard this song, I knew of it through my spiritual daddy, Cesar Martin, he was from Oxnard, and he was the one who brought me unto Jesus path, he died shortly after I accepted jesus into my Heart as my Personal saviour, after his funeral, at Valley Bible Foursquare Church in Santa maria Valley, Ca, I sang it , that song has been in my heart and I always remember Cesar with it, his last words on this earth were, I am going Home where I belong,

    Juan Silva

  • Thinking of Jessica...

  • Way underrated song by BJ albeit a hidden trea-

sure by one of this generations greatest vocalists.

Mark Lowery does it justice as well, but with BJ

as my mentor I do a good version with acoustic.

Its the message thats important in the end.

  • I am 44 yrs old life has been hard and even at my age I find that there are so many moments when I feel so alone. please live life to the fullest so you have no regrets Thanks BJ

  • choice song mate awesum old skool song.

  • Wow !!!! This song certainly brins back a lot of memories of good gospel songs back in the day... I would love to get a copy of this ablum. Does any one know where I can get it from. Thanks... Peace n Blessing

  • I heard this song 15 years ago. I am glad I can hear online now. Thanks. God blessed Thomas.

  • coramiller244 - All of BJ's songs have brought so much joy to me since my husband passed. I love you BJ

  • this song was played at my uncles funeral ive missed him so so much he died when i was very young but listening to this song made me think of him and the times he took me camping, fishing, walking he was a great man

  • Thank you Jesus for the power of healing you have given us in B.J.'s words and music. What a joy he brings to all us through you.

  • B E A U T I F U L !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks for posting this video.

Alway love B.J.THOMAS, I loved this song, this voice ... not to be forgotten.

I am speechless !!!!!!!!!! LOVE YOU, BJ !

  • I just now said a prayer for you "BlessedJ85" that He will see you through this. I believe in miracles and only He knows why we go through certain things in life. He has a plan for all of us. God bless...

  • thanks for sharing this Bj Thomas song.

  • Beautiful with hope! Sharing National Sunday Law by A. Jan Marcussen=)

  • I started chemotherapy 2 weeks ago. I'm 24. It's hard sometimes, thinking about what God's plans are. This song just made me cry. He's been a good, loving God all the way. And I'm not afraid of what the end might be. I mean...I AM just 'passing through' right? :) It makes me happy to know God's just sitting on the porch of His House, waiting for me to get there. God bless you for this vid 'ffhurray'...

  • God bring healing to this child of yours.... God of Heb 13:8... the same yesterday today and forever.

  • God is good....He created people who care. You're one of them. :) How can I not have faith?

  • visit this web site... voice of god recordings, listen to the message by Wm Branham "deep calleth unto deep" after he minsters the word, he moves in the Word of Knowledge - EXACTLY the same way in which the Lord Jesus Christ displayed his Sonship. Keep an open heart and permit the Rhema Word of God to heal you. I will be praying for you too.

  • god bless you my sister in law had cancer and its been 14 years clean and we pray the same for you in jesus holy name amen

  • Thank you so so much...it feels good to know.

  • just keep up the faith, God is still on the throne,, we're praying for you.. God bless!

  • Thank you so much! :) I am...keeping the faith.

  • This song came out when I was an older teen. It made me really think about our home in Heaven. I am glad you do not feel fear. Feel free to write and let me know how you are doing! You are young to be going through such mature issues, but your attitude is so gracious! Blessings to you!

  • @BlessedJ85 How are you doing these days?

  • @msbutler59 Thank you for asking! :) I'm actually doing pretty well. Off chemotherapy now. Just being extra careful. I graduated med school too, praise God. :) Thank you all for caring so much.

  • @BlessedJ85 Congratulations on graduating med school. God has made you a testimony through your experience. Remember to share your life in Jesus with others. Personal testimonies of what God does in a person's life is one of the most moving things for those who still need to come to Christ. May God bless you all the years of your life.

  • @BlessedJ85 -- your image of God sitting on the porch of His house is rather incorrect :) Your image, while comforting, shows Him to be passive, but I think His is a more active stance!

If you notice Jesus' description of the father, you will realize it more like He is out on the roof of the His house looking out into the distance to see if His child is coming home -- only to run into the dusty road to gather His child into His arms...

  • @PlanoFSXer This is a really late reply...but I honestly think you're right! :) God is an active God. I know He is because He healed me. How perfectly perfect is He! :)

  • @BlessedJ85 How are you doing after a year? I hope you're doing much better!

  • @AlondraLabute Thank you so much for asking! I am happy to say I'm healed thanks to the grace of God!

  • @BlessedJ85 dear blessed i know the cancer ,treatment is bad.i have never been thru it but had many friends that have.i know a lot of healing preachers are made fun of ,but im blind in my right eye. i went to erenst angley one time here in atlanta .he picked me out of over 250 guest.,he told me to put my hand over my chest.when i did.a beam of heat heated it.im still blind today.but mircles happen.i love you enen toe i dont know you .i will put you on my prayer list.write me anytime.

  • @BlessedJ85 I just happened to see your post[I'm about a year late in seeing it]. I pray that you are alright. If you see this post. please tell me. I have something to shsre with you. God bless.

  • @vocashreader Thank you so much for asking! I am 200% healed as of today...all your prayers worked! God's love is amazing and I know He healed me because He has a purpose for me....

  • @BlessedJ85 Hi there. I hadn't heard this song for quite awhile until yesterday. I know it's been a year since you posted, but I'm hoping you will read this. Like ffhurray has said, Keep the faith because GOD STILL IS ON THE THRONE. Your faith through a challenge of the magnitude you are facing or faced has reminded me of the fact that GOD is waiting for 'just the right time' to bring HIS family home to HIM. BLESSINGS to you. May our paths cross if not on earth then in our eternal home HEAVEN

  • @BlessedJ85 so very very glad you are healed!! praise God!

  • @BlessedJ85

God Bless You!! I hope that u are done your fight with your illness.

I hope that God saw u through it when u wanted to give up. He's

a loving God & even though we don't always understand the things

he does or why, we always know he has a plan for each of us & u

are putting yourself out there for others to see your heart & soul.

A more braver soul there could not be. Thanks for posting the song.

And thanks for sharing your story with us. May God Bless You Always.

  • @BlessedJ85

love your faith <3 blessings on each of your days here... with much joy and affection

  • Great song whether you are physically in need of home,or feeling psychologically displaced. I know this is one of the songs BJ did after his recovery from drug addiction and God brought him through it.. bt

  • This is such a wonderful song! I've been blessed to have known the writer of this song, Pat Terry, for many years. He gave a wonderful gift to my family many years ago when he interupted a vacation he was on to come sing thig this song personally at my father's funeral. I will always be grateful to him for that kind gesture and the many wonderful songs he has written. Last December, Pat released his first recording in nearly 20 years. He is still writing great songs! Check it out at his website.

  • Thanks for the wonderful video with this song. This has been a favorite of mine since the 70's when he first sang it... Amazing song and message. Christians sadly gave BJ Thomas a hard welcome to the fold. Yet, he allowed himself to be used of God..

  • What a lovely reminder.. I love this song so much. More lately.. I remind myself daily that this is not my real home..this life is but a moment of our existence. I think I am homesick for a place I have never been before but it will be glorious to finally be able to go there. I don't think that time is very far off now.

  • I can see all the signs of the times of this depressing world that we live in........ I sometimes escape for a little while, remembering we all (the believers) will be going home soon..... The bible says when all these things begin happening, the time is at hand........ Even at the door.

    Geri, from Florida

  • I was just given this song to sing, by a gentleman at my church, he knows he's on his way out of this life, and wants me to sing it at his funeral.

I want to sing it to him now...

He said he is ready, and those are not just words, but truth,

Thank you Jesus for true believers whose lives reflect this peace and comfort!

  • Keep us posted on the gentleman im praying for him

  • Having literally been homeless many times because of being disabled (not drugs or drink) finding this song on here after not hearing it for many years ... It was a blessing. It's a JOY to know I'm only passing through.

    I'd go home too.

    Thank you for posting it.

  • THIS IS NOT OUR HOME AMEN THANK GOD THAT OUR VISION CAN BE LIFTED HIGH COS HE WAS LFTED HIGH THANK YOU JESUS FOR PAYING THE PRICE TO ALLOW US THE ETERNAL RIGHT TO HAVE A HOME IN YOU IN IN GOD THANK YOU FOR RESTORING OUR RELATIONSHIP BACK TO THE FATHER HEART OF GOD IM GOING HOME harriett k paraku sorenson 13/4/09

  • I didn't know this song. I listenned to here, first time. And I see how the lyrics, the melody catch my feeling. I know homelessness too.

  • Yes! someday we will coming home w/ Jesus! Amen

  • "...only passing through." WOOO! I love that line!

  • GOD BLESS YOU!! I've always loved this song. I had the album!! And I've been looking for a copy and here it is!!! Thank you. THe other one I loved by "You Gave Me Love When No One Gave Me Time".

  • believe or not i was in a hard rock/heavy metal band, and we would go upstairs between shows, or sit at home w/our friends and sing gospel music til dawn and then some. this song was always 1 that we would usually sing during any 1 of those impromptu jam sessions. those times made me feel like elvis presley when he and his friends would sing these songs all night together. i'm not a bj thomas fan but i really love this song. always did always will

  • wow very nice song.....

  • This song makes you at peace with the reality of death, we all face someday. Cause I have no doubts when that day comes, I will go home (heaven) for eternity. Takes all fears of death "away". BJ Thomas also has a beautiful voice, and sings this well. This I want as my funeral song. :) A day of celebration, not sadness - cause Jesus just took me home (it was that time)...(not today...but someday).

  • Thank you for sharing this. I love this song and I want it sung at my funeral, along with a few others that B.J. sung. God has used this man to touch us all.

  • What a lovely song, Thanks Gloria for sharing this with me, it's so beautiful.

  • Thankyou Lisa sweetie for sharing. Beautiful share. Thankyou ffhurray for posting lovely video. 5***** Amen..We are going home soon!

    Be blessed.......Diane.

  • Someone emailed this song's lyrics to me today. My dad, a vibrant, active, self-sufficient man who was 95, died in August this year. This song reminds me of him; he was ready, had lived his life and left here very peacefully in his sleep while sitting in front of his vegetable garden. Though I miss him, I find a melancholy peace knowing he is with Jesus. The heavens are rejoicing at the arrival of Charles Ragonese!

  • Great song and slideshow..thanks for posting.

  • Thanks for posting! Beautiful song!

  • I first heard this song about thirty years ago, I'm glad it's still around to pass to another generation

  • i've been listening to this song since I was 8yrs old......I'm 37 now so you're right on track

  • I agree with you, praise god

  • My best friend, passed away last July. He was 42 years old. He sang this song on a tape when he was 16. The tape was played at his funeral. It is good to be reminded that one day David and I will meet again. Thank you for posting.

  • Thanks for posting......

This is a very nice song...a reminder for us that we are living temporarily in this world, that someday we will go home to HEAVEN where the final destination whoever trusted Jesus as their LORD and SAVIOR....

    To GOD be the glory...

  • amen! but now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. Heb. 11:16

  • I remember listening to this with Grandma on the way to Church, and at Grandma's funeral. I will see you again one day, Mama C! I Love You!

  • Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

  • this song gives me so much peace!!!! Beautiful pictures!

  • Beautiful song about heaven. That could be your home too if you want, how? Jesus is the ticket to home.

  • Yes i agree with you ariel, Jesus Christ is the ticket and the only way to heaven, all we need to do is admit, repent for each sins and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and personal saviour.. John 14:6, Isa. 55:6

  • love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Simply beautiful...love the voice and photos.

I was so surprised to see this recorded by BJ!!!

  • B.J. sings this song so beautifully. Thanks for posting this.

  • I'm still loving this song as I loved it the first time listened to it from my grandma's tape.

That time I also read the book about BJ's life testimonies about his encounters with Christ.

Anybody has BJ's video Without A Doubt?

  • Such a cool, poignant, lovely song...and added on my birthday, too!

  • thanks for the appreciation! God bless!
