This is such a wonderful song! I've been blessed to have known the writer of this song, Pat Terry, for many years. He gave a wonderful gift to my family many years ago when he interupted a vacation he was on to come sing thig this song personally at my father's funeral. Someone emailed this song's lyrics to me today. My dad, a vibrant, active, self-sufficient man who was 95, died in August this year. This song reminds me of him; he was ready, had lived his life and left here very peacefully in his sleep while sitting in front of his vegetable garden.
