Is it normal for slopes in the U.S to have occasional bits of park equipment like those box rails and small kickers in the middle of normal slopes? The places I've skied in France only have that stuff in big snow parks.

@HarrisJamesBen No. Bear Mountain is one of the few "all-mountain parks" here in the US, which have park features on every trail. Other examples are Mountain High also in California, and Echo Mountain Park in Colorado...

@HarrisJamesBen Actually contrary to what adamblauer says. you can find a lot of places that have small rail sections kickers boxes and even big air jumps you just have to know the spots. MI has a few, Colorado has a few and if u feel adventurous go north to British Columbia up in Canada and u can hit some REALLLY nice parks oh Washington had some decent slopes too

@BLOPINTOSH I learned pretty fast, but I HIGHLY recommend taking lessons if you haven't snowboarded before. They really help out. I took them at snow summit (if you live in southern California) and they were really helpful.
