Yeah, it's interesting how the genre is ostensibly quite antiquated by the time Locke wrote this, but the harmony - particularly the use of dissonance is very advanced. The use of 1/5 comma meantone is particularly appropriate for drawing the fullest effect from those diminished 4ths.
