Although I Luv me some Miss Nancy; She SHOULD HAVE concentrated on "singing" this Classic song instead of HAMMING IT UP for the audience!!! Dreadful performance by 'The Jazz Diva!!!!"
Nancy Wilson is one of the most gorgeous, fabulous women God ever made. The woman can sing. She is absolutely beautiful. She has aged so gracefully over the years. I have loved her since I was a kid. My parents bought her albums. I am 57 years old and she is still one of my most favorite songstress'. I saw her this past summer at the Hollywood Bowl and she was still as fabulous as ever. People walked her to her seat on stage and she sat and sang to us. I was mesmerized. Love you Nancy Wilson!!
Uwe,this be for you! You know who you be, but I still love you and always will, even if you don't deserve it, for God and Jesus says that we must love those that least deserve it., so I do.
The year 1963 was the year I first heard that lovely voice, she is still my all time favorite female singer, lovely as ever I must admit,Nancy you are the greatest.
After 60 years of performing, La Nancy has announced that she is taking a break and will have her last show at Ohio University. This is one of my favorites. A man once said to me, "If you didn't pinch me then it won't me". LOL Today, a zealous person can use the camera on the cell phone. LOLOLOL
I was introduced to Nancy Wilson, the woman when I lived in California. Just as you see her on stage, she is the same wonderful woman in person. We (my girl and a few friends)shared a new song from Nancy that she sang to the background music from a tape she had with her. Her voice and motions are magic! I fell in love with her all over again! :-)
Began my journey with Lady Nancy at the tender age of 5. My Uncle Ted made sure that Nat Cole, Nancy, Ramsey ; were as much a part of me as my Motown/STAX /P-Funk pilgrimage. This LADY is the epitome of grace, elegance, class and STYLE. So honest that it hurts! But, the words of her songs have saved 2 of my ex's very lives (SMILING)! (Face it Girl and Guess who) Thank God for a good example of how to endure through even the worst of situations. Bless U, Lady Nancy.

@awparadoxx Hope to see you there, going also Fri. night to see Roberta Flack. Have you been to BB King's before? We saw Sergio Mendes there last Sept., 1st time we were there, really great place to see and hear performers, small intimate setting.
I was there on 6/25. Since you were there also you know that this was Nancy's farewell NY performance. So glad that I was there. I have been to BB Kings many times and have been following Nancy for over 35 years! :)
Got to speak with her backstage and took a picture with her! I love her so much for being so gracious to her fans!
Are you on Facebook? If so, send me your info and I will send you the picture.
LOVE HER! Such a talented lady. Saw her in Philly and had to go by myself but I didn't want to miss that chance in case I would never get another chance but going to see her in Philly again soon! Worth it!
Miss Wilson is the epitome of the jazz divas. There are many young folks out there who need to listen to her sing and appreciate the interpretation of the classics. Lena Horne is gone, but we still have Nancy! I also saw her at the BlueNote and believe me she was absolutely stunning. Sexy as a fox, in her seventies! "You Can Have Him" is another classic interpretation by Nancy. Look it up, you won't be disapppointed.
I’m trying not to let this video trash my memory of her gorgeous recording of this classic and very sad song. People cheat, and mates are often the last to know. Why is the woman in the song stupid and pitable?
There will never be another singer like Nance Wilson. She was and still is the greatest female jazz vocalist. My parents took me to see her in NYC back in 1968 when I was 10 years old and I will never forget that gig. Her vocal range was intoxicatingly amazing and gave me goose bumps all over. She also is adept at creating a ambiance onstage (in a small theater probably better) that no one can equal. Her live album,"at the coconut grove" in 1965 was so perfect from beginning to end.
I am 52 and my mom was enthraled with Nancy way back when I was 5 (1963). I know all her songs and albums. She is the most gifted singer I ever heard and the classiest and stunning singer of them all. I LOVE YOU NANCY WILSON FOREVER
She reminds you what a singer really is, not like these young wonders who need all the electronics and dancing to sing a song! Please bring back this caliber again!
Simply marvelous!! I love the line, "Those of you gentleman who seek to choose to insist upon being indiscreet, u really ought to do urself a favor & have the kind of female at home who will handle all that. And I'm talking LADY in caps, sweet lady, nice lady, kind, patient, tolerant, considerate & understanding-on the real side, well you need someone who is relatively naive & basically stupid..." Someone who will say "Darling, did u miss ur train." "PLEASE." LOL! I know that's right!!!
i'm 59 and Nancy is one of my inspirations, such a wonderful singer/ But I knew her before, when I was a teenager, back in the 60's. That' when I first heard
I have always loved Nancy Wilson, I raised my children, listening to Her. An amazing performer, and In the Webster Dictionary next to the word CLASSY, should read NANCY WILSON. Such an incredible LADY

I agree with those of you who heard this song as a teenager. When singing this song at age 15, I really didn't understand it but was FASCINATED by the "story she told," such expression! Thx for this post, I LOVE NANCY WILSON, & though I appreciate today's divas, they could learn from Ms. Nancy, Carmen, Ella, Morgana, Aretha, Sarah, Nina........
I heard this song in 1972 and was 12 years old. Now what did I know about "Guess Who I Saw Today". I played it over and over and have loved it ever since. She is so classic and classy.
When I was 17 I heard Nancy Wilson sing for the first time and she touched my soul. I am now 63 and she still does the same thing. She is by far the most beautiful woman in the world and I do not know another person who can sing like she does. She is by far the most talented singer alive. I love you Nancy.
@vhebert247478 yeah!!! look at her like at 2:20! the first time she sings "Guess who i saw today my dear". look at her movements and the face she makes after singing it. gave me chills, because she really looks like she's pissed off. she's really in the song. and that's amazing.
i adore that scene. I loved her from the very second i saw that scene for the first time. My mother think's it's very funny cause i would occasionally launch into an utterly committed but hammy full version of Moody's mood for love.
"Am I insane or do I really see heaven in your eyes."
