Eh, I liked this version, although I obviously preferred the original. At least they did something original with it and gave it a new feel, unlike the Metallica version, which was just the original but with a shitty voice, shitty wah, and no keyboards.
I never heard that version before. But I'm picturing Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds ROFLing when they heard it -- except for Blixa, who probably just facepalmed and said very bad words in German.
Personally, I like Martin Gore's version more than the original. The way he sings it, theres a different emotion behind it. Martin is a genius (I just love his work with Depeche Mode) and transformed the song. Blixa made stranger music with Einstürzende Neubauten for sure, he might like it.
Martin can make anything sound sexy :)
