i love how around 3.30 the genius that has already been heard would suffice as a fantastic santus, but then Bach pushes the frontiers to the limit even more with that amazing fugue in 3/8 =D
2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his[a]; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations."
@ChiefPO10490 well would you rather it was toned down and crap and prevented from sounding at its most brilliant? Bach is over the top, that's why he was a genius then and a genius now
Do people just cruise YT disliking every video they can watch? For the fun of hurting someone's feelings? Because I can't think of another reason why this one was disliked.
@Lassannn I'm sorry, remember the space probe they sent out with human blood samples and recordings of POP music, the aliens, unfortunatly will hear the pop music first and decide that they have to clear the human infestation. hahahhaha!
@Lassannn I can't remember the show, but I know NASA got a scientist to design a small record like disk that was sent to space to be "found" by aliens or whatever. It had a sort of map of where we are, some math equations, basic nature/earth sounds, and some classical music that he thought was the most "mathematical" or complex. Can't for the life of me remember what composer they used.. I'll have to find and repost.
Thank you for posting the audio. I have an old CD of this masterpiece unfornatly not in good conditions. Can you please add the complete Mass in B minor ?
It makes one feel joyful and amazed at the same time.

Meh. It's too slow and the choir is far too large in this one. The Herrweghe version sounds so much better.

I was given a copy of the B Minor Mass when I left my first proper job after graduating. The accompanying card read, "Every home should have a copy!"
How true! Bach's mastery at its very best.

Psalm 100:
1 "Shout to the Lord, all the earth.

Absolutley beautiful. Stunning works.
And that's coming from a 13-year-old schoolgirl.

For such a masterpiece, I think YouTube needs to remove the 'dislike' button.

When the angels play for themselves, they play Mozart. When they play for God, they play Bach.

this is arguably the biggest achievement in music history... it is the most deep, pure, and most sophisticated composition of them all
