  • @appies34 Kenosha is a great town! There are a lot of children, so there's no need to worry about loneliness ;) Kenosha is at a greater risk of Tornadoes, but that's only because we live on the coast of Lake Michigan. Racine is just north of Kenosha, and it's a nice town as well.

  • Kenisha is not a bad city at all! When this tornado hit i was in band class and had to evacuate i thought it was a joke cause usually i dont think of a tornado hitting in the middle of january but it did SCARY

  • Is Kenosha a bad town? If so, what's bad about it? Are there other nice towns in the surrounding area for a family with small children? :)

  • I'm going to be moving to the area in 2011. Are tornadoes common in Kenosha?

  • @appies34 No. Especially in January they are not. Blizzards, not tornadoes! LOL! A couple miles east of this location that same day, a small town was destroyed!

  • @appies34 tornadoes just nearly had 1 today but not overly common. You have much bigger worries concerning that town haha.

  • I live on the northside of Kenosha and the tornado touched down about a half mile from my home. It was extremely odd to have 65+ temperatures a tornadoes in January, the funny thing about it was temps dropped back into the 20's and a foot of snow fell a few days later........damn Wisconsin weather...lol

  • @kenosha2007 We live in wisconsin too....the weather is so wierd!

  • I live in Kenosha, but I was in the fucking basement. I don't want to risk getting killed my a god forbid tornado, yikes!

  • doesnt seem that bad at all ive seen much much worse diidnt seem to be much to those storms microbursts downdrafts it looks like

  • This was the freakiest storm i've ever lived through. Especially when damage was less than a mile away from my house, in Wheatland. Weirdest day in January for sure.

  • wow, that sky is really green

  • Ahh... I love those ACA/ASC P-50s/Tempest 135's :)

  • while i was alive there was only one green sky it scared the crap outa me

  • While you were alive? So you weren't when you typed that comment?

  • We have that siren sound near my house. The siren is barely half a mile away.

  • Comment removed

  • You misunderstood me. What I meant was is that I live near a siren of the same type. You know, the one by Bullen.

  • The sky is green from the light shining through the hail in the t-storm. A green sky means things are going to (or are) get bad for someone.

  • There was no hail with this storm.

  • this whole thing scared the shit out of me. i was sittin in my living room when i heard the hail hitting my house. so i grabbed my pets and ran into the basement. i never thought there was gonna be tornadoes in Kenosha.

  • This was a first for me. I can confirm though that 2-3 tornadoes were reported, I caught on on film, well, my father did.

  • was thatat night or during the day?

  • Nice green sky (it may be bluish but i'm color blind)

  • Nah, it's green.

  • I was driving a semi from Chicago back to Bloomington that night when the tornadoes rolled through. If I didn't have weight in the trailer my truck surely would have blown over. That was an interesting night for sure.

  • thoes sirens are t-135 sirens

  • tornado in january?!

  • hey i know where u live..im in the same complex haha

  • Sounds like T-135s. And that storm must've been bad. Were you guys okay?
