@appies34 Kenosha is a great town! There are a lot of children, so there's no need to worry about loneliness ;) Kenosha is at a greater risk of Tornadoes, but that's only because we live on the coast of Lake Michigan. Racine is just north of Kenosha, and it's a nice town as well.
Kenisha is not a bad city at all! When this tornado hit i was in band class and had to evacuate i thought it was a joke cause usually i dont think of a tornado hitting in the middle of january but it did SCARY
@appies34 No. Especially in January they are not. Blizzards, not tornadoes! LOL! A couple miles east of this location that same day, a small town was destroyed!
I live on the northside of Kenosha and the tornado touched down about a half mile from my home. It was extremely odd to have 65+ temperatures a tornadoes in January, the funny thing about it was temps dropped back into the 20's and a foot of snow fell a few days later........damn Wisconsin weather...lol
This was the freakiest storm i've ever lived through. Especially when damage was less than a mile away from my house, in Wheatland. Weirdest day in January for sure.
this whole thing scared the shit out of me. i was sittin in my living room when i heard the hail hitting my house. so i grabbed my pets and ran into the basement. i never thought there was gonna be tornadoes in Kenosha.
I was driving a semi from Chicago back to Bloomington that night when the tornadoes rolled through. If I didn't have weight in the trailer my truck surely would have blown over. That was an interesting night for sure.

Is Kenosha a bad town? If so, what's bad about it? Are there other nice towns in the surrounding area for a family with small children? :)

I'm going to be moving to the area in 2011. Are tornadoes common in Kenosha?

@appies34 tornadoes just nearly had 1 today but not overly common. You have much bigger worries concerning that town haha.

You misunderstood me. What I meant was is that I live near a siren of the same type. You know, the one by Bullen.
sfs2040 3 years ago
The sky is green from the light shining through the hail in the t-storm. A green sky means things are going to (or are) get bad for someone.
billybassman21 3 years ago
There was no hail with this storm.

This was a first for me. I can confirm though that 2-3 tornadoes were reported, I caught on on film, well, my father did.
