@lilsparkkles Yes. There was just a Press Release, so the movie will come. The producers are John Davis (Mr. Popper's Penguins; I, Robot :-D) and Jordan Davis (Jump In). Casting has not been done yet (that we know of). The movie is scheduled to come out in 2012. This is not an official movie trailer, rather a fan trailer (a pretty good one, I have to say). There is also a manga coming out that talks about Shay's life that you won't want to miss. (trust me I've seen previews.

I almost don't want there to be a movie, because I just know they'll screw it up somehow. They'll either not spend enough money on it to make the futuristic feel realistic, or they'll REALLY mess up and use known actors.

There's no proof at all that there's going to even be a movie. His book, So Yesterday, has had it's movie rights sold a while ago, and there's still no news on that movie. Uglies will probably not even be made into a movie, and I have no clue where you got 2011. Even scott-la hasn't made that announcement on his blog, and he would if it were true.
And I heard the movie rights were sold to the people who made Eragon. So suckishness is a given, sadly.

There's no proof at all that there's going to even be a movie. His book, So Yesterday, has had it's movie rights sold a while ago, and there's still no news on that movie. Uglies will probably not even be made into a movie, and I have no clue where you got 2011. Even scott-la hasn't made that announcement on his blog, and he would if it were true.
And I heard the movie rights were sold to the people who made Eragon. So suckishness is a given, sadly.

first of all, i do not have a horrible taste in books thank you very much. i read the whole twilight series and it was ok but nowhere near the best. have you even read harry potter? it sends wayy better messages than twilight and has a way better and more complex plot line and sexy vampires? seriously? dude theres more to life than imaginary good-looking guys! its people like you that really ruined the whole twilight thing for me...so thanks now i hate twilight more

uh, yeah. You still have not answered my question. Have you read uglies or harry potter? Because in order to make assumptions about them you would need to know something about them. See, I have read all three series and have come to the well thought out conclusion that twilight is not that great. It's entertaining, I'll give it that, but when it comes to plot twilight just doesn't measure up. I mean, was breaking dawn the real book or was it fan fiction? I mean, seriously!

Reasons why hp is better: its not predictable, it has a plot, the characters arent one-demetional, it doesnt use a lot of adjetives to make it seem like its good writitng, it actually has good writing, its not about some clumsy girl who is WAY too obsessed about her boyfriend, it doesnt have any crazy/obsessive/brain-dead characters, did i mention it has a plot?, its creative, it has depth, the characters dont become zombies cuz their bf left them, hp will be remembered, & it has great messages

It's going way to far to say that twilight was "the most well written, amazing, good, intresting piece of literature ever," because uglies was five times better.
