you can practice a song and still improvise while playing it. but ya theres no phrasing or melody. it just sounds like chromatic scales. you cant even really tell if he's playing in the same key as the song.

And nothing's called a "vibe;" the mallet percussion instrument with aluminum keys and a motor driven butterfly valve is called a Vibraphone. Also, it's spelled oboe, not "obo," and it's just as commonly found in concert bands as well, even contemporary marching bands on occasion. You should probably just not give people advice if you don't know your stuff

@MusicMaxwell Oboe is usually used to tune the whole band (since it's so hard to tune itself). It's a shame people talk about it with "knowledge" when they have none. Oboe is a great instrument(done right!). Keep giving advice, you know your stuff.
