what good is teaching a progedy anything. and also a prodegy would have playing come to them naturally, and this obviouly wasn't a first lesson. he definitely had some prep before this or he knew how to read music already. in a usual first lesson, u would try to teach them notes.
But i did think that you were a good teacher no matter what because of your calmness while teaching.
I don't think they are referring to this child as a prodigy, this is a just a cute word play for a title for their series. I am training for a class called Little Music Makers- the m and m thing. I'm sure the piano for prodgities is just a wordplay as well.
The child is obviously bright, though prodigy might be a bit of an exaggeration. The teacher was brilliant: she was always praising, never giving negative criticism, and got all her points across by asking questions so that the child thought it out for himself. The lesson (or the bit we saw!) moved quickly and she had a lovely rapport with the kid.
haha whatever, people.. i didn't start playing piano until i was 7 or 8.. if you can get the thing to make any sound at all when you're 4 years old (let alone, actually read the music, identify the key & time sig, translate the symbols on paper to the keyboard, etc), i think you deserve to be called a prodigy in your own right :-D
Kindergarden prodigy? look I started piano when I was 4 and learned Mary Had a Little Lamb..I'm not a prodigy..this kid is barely learning how to play three notes. I think it's a bit silly to call this kid a prodigy...sorry..
i bet you cant even play 1 note! you are not even teaching him!
