@RealCoolFreakinGuy I am an electronic engineer, and make those phones. When you do not turn it off, it will scan for a connection, through the different bandwiths. there is a chance it can interrupt instruments the pilots use. Simply because the phones "pollute" the traffic.

One person would probably have little to no effect, as the instruments onboard will make up for it. But if everone did it, it could cause problems. So, good luck genius.
