Alissa, practicing her triple axel??? Wow, if she can make it up to the challenge after improving her consistency, I would like to see her perform something like that on video. I really hope she lands a perfect axel.
no offense 2 danielle, she is really nice and all that, but she has a long way 2 go as a skater. she needs 2 work on her posture. and its also something about her arms! idk what it is but they really bug me and she needs 2 work on the coming out of the jumps. i think she can b a really awsome skater if she works really hard @ it. but i like danielle alot! plz dont hate me!
actually they did had a chance at the olympics...czisny had the senior competitons and did well and had te talent to reach the podium, liand was close but complety messed up in the long program at nationals and kahle had a bad start in the short...these 3 were expected to medal and compete at the olympics only that luk ran short on them ad other ladies out scored them :(
Those 3 were not all expected to medal and compete a the Olys, are you kidding me? Sasha Cohen and Michelle Kwan were expected to take up two of the spots, and at the least Sasha was a complete lock-in and everyone knew it. Kimmie Meissner was much more expected than any of these girls as well. Danielle was barely even known at the time and Bebe already had her reputation for screwing it up. The only one of them anyone expected to make it was Alissa, after her great year on the Grand Prixs.
I'm sure they knew it was a possibility. Bebe and Alissa certainly have the talent to, and I think Alissa could have made it instead of Emily or Kimmie if she'd had that one completely clean skate she's never really had. Sasha was a lock, MK was something of a lock, but that third spot was open, and after MK dropped out... Danielle, though, I don't think would have made it.
well i agree a little bit with you, they have the wants and they have preparation but its just not enough come on, either of the 4 had good positions at nats, right? and i have seen better girls to the usa team
OMG! Alissa is practicing DA TRIPLE AXEL!!! What a jump for someone who's not very consitent in jumping. However,,, IF SHE MASTERS the 3A and keep the other jumps consistent, she might be a favorite on the podium in Vancouver.
Sasha Cohen had a quad lined up for years but never landed it in competition (though she did attempt to several times, and actually got the rotation on at least one occasion). She's not consistent either. I think it's more the nerves - on both of them - than the jumping ability.
It is good.... not as well as A CoMpEtItIoN, but it was okay. If you like figure skating, and figure skate like me, this is a good show to get into. :-)
Danielle is awesome
