Richie Hawtins music is repetitive because thats the genre he is in, its often called minimalist techno and hes the best in the world at it. i dont know what type of techno some of you people listen to but most dj's are repetitive in live shows, the non repetitive music is generally on albums n such and you must have to hate this genre to think that he sucks despite the fact he is considered one of the greatest dj's of all time.

I'm a musician, know quite a lot about how this music is made. I doubt he even created the samples he's using in the first place. It's just really poor work. I have a plethora of electronic music and am a symphonic metal guitarist, bassist, drummer and singer.

I had EXACTLY the same opinion than you about Plastikman. Then I listened a LOT of electro, from Wendy Carlos to Aphex Twin, Gerald Donald, etc (I ve got about 20 Go of electro mp3 and its NOTHING compared to what i listened). Then I undertood is work and believe me its much better than you think.
